I use a 1440p 27 inch monitor and the only time I can notice the pixels is on the UI in certain games. Even text looks extremely sharp. I'm sure I'll upgrade to 4k some day when it's a lot cheaper but atm I don't know why anyone would bother.

Why are you playing 4k@30 over 1440p@144hz though? 30 fps is terrible and the 5700 XT can hit 120+ fps even on the newest AAA games.

That depends on what you are playing. I already beat every 2019-2020 that i was interested in, so basically i have a back log of 2015, 2016, 2017 games that you can play easily at 4K and 75 FPS. My point is that is already like next gen consoles, not that i play with those 30 fps that ps5 would have.

I don't really agree with them but the vast majority of people now consider a Ryzen 5 3600 with 2070 Super or 5700 XT to be midrange and that can definitely do 4k@30fps.

When will consoles be able to do a steady 60fps again?
