it's for the same reason why class limits exists in comp TF2 - certain combos are cancerous and makes the game even harder to balance. Like the old 6 D.Va stall on 2CP

I quit long before this, but I find it hilarious how blizzard did not know how to stop GOATS. They were just unable to understand that tanks having more health, better mobility, and more damage than dps would just lead to people playing the tanks, so instead of doing anything about that they just said, "fuck it, 2-2-2 is now mandatory."
that is basically them in a nutshell. they do not know how to balance, andevery single update just made the game worse.

tanks being OP is a fundamental Overwatch problem but cutting tanks to size will just mean even fewer tank players. Role queue means longer queue times but at least I'm more guaranteed tank players that know what they're doing than rando fill-ins

role queue was something that should have been in the game from the start, but I find it funny the put it in because they could not stop goats.

all they had to was introduce hero bans instead of going to role queue. Banning Lucio and Brig would kill Goats and it's crazy that the devs didn't even think to do that

but people worked very hard on those characters and having character bans would make those people upset. :(
