Nah, I pirated it

I bought it when it came out.

He doesn't know

racing games are not games.

Got it 2 days ago along with both expansions and the Hoonigan car pack so none of the achievements are locked out to me. The game is pretty fun.
I played Gears and Halo for years and love those series so it's nice to try out Xbox's third pillar for the first time. I crash into fucking everything though.

I did it yesterday, I will always regret not buying FH2

>digital games with a limited shelf life
lmao

Had it since day 1, along with FH1 and FH2 (my favorite)

I want forza 4 bc so much

>launch new console
>brag about backwards compatibility
>delists Xbox One's best game a couple months prior to new console launch
what was their plan exactly

why did they remove it

Licenses

>None of the 2 bundles come with the Hot Wheels expansion
Welp, gotta shell out a little more money.

Their plain is " we aint paying for another 3 years of porsche licences, fuck that

Nah I'll buy a disc if I want it

this sounds like some gay bullshit. can someone elaborate a bit more on this licensing garbage? is this just a way for rights-holders to squeeze more money out of lending their likeness/music?
is there any other media that's susceptible to the same level of "trolling" so to speak?

It's the rights for the actual cars user.

sure ok. but why did they have to remove the digital version from the marketplace?

Because they no longer have rights to sell the game containing manufacturer's cars they no longer have access to.

they are selling a game + licenses. digital or physical.
they can't have that on their storefront unless ms is willing to cough up cash for it.

lol how is it that it's one of the biggest racing games on the market and they can't keep the licensing, fh4 reuses most of the cars from fh3. a game like Assetto Corsa sold much, much less, released in 2014 (2 years earlier than fh3) and it still retains all of it's licenses while still being sold on steam

but why? do film distributors have to do the same thing when selling their movies? like the fast & furious series, or need for speed, or whatever movies that might contain licensed vehicles.

user, they are already paying for the licences on FH4 and FM7, why the fuck would they renew the licences for a dead game when FH4 is almost at the end of its life cycle too?
AC didn't have a sequel till recently, so it is still at the transition face for its fanbase, once most players are on ACC they will stop renewing the licence for AC unless they have a damn good reason to keep renewing it

Because they aren't allowed to sell it.

We should just use fictional cars Blur style to stop great games being fucked because of a name.

I'm guessing yes if they want to keep selling copies of their movies

But I dont want to drive some fag mix of supra and viper with a shitty name like in GTA
I want to drive the actual car, and if they have a car that I own IRL even better, so I can do whatever the fuck mods I wish I could do on my actual car if I had the money to drop a fucking V12 on my shitbox miata

I'm sure I heard of some movies having issues being licenced for blu ray releases in other countries because they had some kinda distribution deal with different companies in each region. So you end up with like every translation except English existing etc. just a load of bollocks

it's all part of the plan to retire the old games and to keep fans buying the newest rehash

Except they keep rehashing the same cars every other year so what difference does it make

they're paying twice

How old are you?

I didn't buy the expansions, are they delighted, too?

The license is probably per title, not per time of use, otherwise, no game would ever be sunsetted just because the new one is out and about

huh, so the licenses apply on a per-game basis eh? I feel like I wouldn't be so peeved if it was "per-franchise" instead, but I can imagine that also getting gay'd by whatever licensing restrictions/laws.

how tedious.

old but naive. I was just looking for some more specific information, as I've heard this happen to other games in the past (GTA I guess?). Will you want to elaborate a bit more on the licensing restrictions for film distributors or vidya distributors?

I appreciate all the information, I didn't realize how susceptible to licensing restrictions these games (though, just digital versions it seems) were.

If game will be delisted why don't they give it to everyone for free?
Oh right they are jewish scums. How else people will pay for their garbage called FH4

I can almost bet it's the german brands fault
Porsche is a fucking dick on how they let people use their brand
Remember the whole PS2 era when only EA could use their cars?
