For the price of an Xbox you can get a 20TF GPU, the RTX 3070. All Xbox games come to PC so why not play on PC?

because i don't know how to type and using wasd hurts my hands.
what do i do bros

Do I need to get a bigger case to hold this card? Also will my motherboard and everything else be compatible with it? My computer is around 6 years old.

you can use any controller on PC

I use a PS5 controller and an Xbox controller would work just fine too

what CPU do you have? this card is pretty strong so a shitty CPU might bottleneck it

why do pcfags care this much about people getting xbox? Hmm....never see them mention Sony.

all playstation games don't come to PC and the ones that do come like a year two later

just saying that this GPU crushes Xbox and costs the same

depends
what mousepad are you currently using?

Can’t sit on the couch.

sure you can, my PC is connected to two monitors and my big 4k TV and I can sit on the coutch with my blutooth controller

Computers are for cooming. Everybody knows this. Consoles are for games.

This, I can understand wanting a PS5 but why would anybody want an Xbox when you could build a pc?

bcoz on top of the gpu I need another 700$ of parts

600 bucks cheaper

This

For the price of an xbox + online for a generation you can just about make an entire system around that 3070, too. Faster everything, emulates almost everything, can add nude mods to loli games, etc.. And you'll get all those "console exclusive" games that Sony and MS Jew each other with.
You can sit on the couch. Use your existing controller and plug the TV in to the computer as a second monitor (shockingly, a TV can be plugged into a computer! The future is now!).

And you still need another $500 worth of parts to make use of said 3070.

Dollar for dollar, there's no beating consoles.

Playstation hasn't put out a system seller in a good while. Sure Xbox and PC now share a library but the Xbox is objectively cheaper for good performance.

What about a CPU, SSD, case, Memory, Motherboard and power supply?

Consoles add $400-$500 of "online" to that base $500 purchase. It's easy to make a cheaper and faster build.

is ryzen 7 really necessary or would ryzen 5 be fine?

I know 5 is 6 cores while consoles have 8 so I'm wondering

though consoles are clocked way lower

i have a 2070super. I'll wait for the 40 series.

I already got all that.

>Consoles add $400-$500 of "online"
Gamepass Ultimate is $15/mo. It'd take you 3 years to hit $540 spent, for a total of $1040, which is about what you'd spend just to build a solid PC.

Consoles are cheaper, end of story.

Personally I'd get a 9700k for about the same price for vidya. I left it out on that build as I can cut some dollars off as the heatsink is included on the 3700x. I'd not try to get away with slower cores as you'll get screwed if you're trying to emulate.

yeah but you don't NEED online in order to play games. also, its a gradual and incremental cost, instead of another 400 up front

>It'd take you 3 years to hit $540 spent, for a total of $1040
Yeahhh so the problem is, console generations are about 7 years.

>yeah but you don't NEED online in order to play games
Doing without online in 2020 is pure cope and I don't think it's realistic except in strawman arguments.

And then for the price of another Xbox you can get your CPU. And then for the price of another Xbox you can get your mobo and RAM. And then for the price of another Xbox you can get your case, PSU, peripherals, etc. And then for the price of another Xbox you can get your 165hz 'gamer' monitor.

What a deal! I can have a better experience than on Xbox for only the price of five Xboxes!

And your GPU lasts you 7 years? Your PC in general?

Cause my first build died after 5 years, motherboard was shot. Meanwhile my PS4 is going just fine.

What's the power requirements for the 3070?

650w i think

>And your GPU lasts you 7 years?
If you want it to. The 780 Ti came out at the same time as the PS4 and it's still better than a PS4 today. Personally I don't make poorfag builds, but if you're into poorfagging it's still a way better deal on PC.

you just got unlucky, this can happen to consoles as well

Attached: ok,baby.jpg (1024x903, 128.76K)

But for someone without a good PC I am going to have to pay thousands for the rest of the machine but I can pay 3/4 of a single thousand for next gen and hundreds of games that I already own plus GamePass.

I already got all that.

"own"

pcpartpicker.com

add you motherboard to the build and it wil tell you about any compatibility issues.

you can bulld a good pc for around 600 bucks and just pirate all games you already own

>and hundreds of games that I already own
But you already own those consoles to play them?

>If you want it to.
user don't bullshit. The majority of PC users upgrade their GPUs more frequently than console users go from one generation to the other. PC is more expensive in both initial and long-term investment.

No shit. I bought a fucking 360 on launch, I KNOW consoles can die. But on average, consoles are cheaper and more reliable than PCs. Where PCs excel is in performance, not in being budget-friendly.

but is a 300 euro CPU really necessary?

The average lifespan of consoles is 8 years. Aka $1440 for just the game pass/ live package. Then add the $500 for the console. $1940 which then youll rinse and repeat every 8 years.

consoles are shit for brains more news at 23:15

>paying $1260 to rent games you have to give back
dohoho

Awesome. So I just buy a 3070 and I can play games? Where do I plug the controller into.
