is that Antidotes?

blunder of the century

bros....

fellow hunters...

lets face it, you never used 'dotes

Soulless

DROPPED
they fucking ruined the series fuck

Rarely ever used them, but I always carried a stack of them anyway

What should I see here?

jokes aside it looks better, the different shape i think helps differentiate it even more. I'd imagine if you're colorblind it's probably really nice, but even despite that, it's still a good change.

>Ever needing to use antidotes
>Not just bringing herbal powder to carry your team even harder

Yep, also rarely used potions. I just pop max potion when I'm at 25% health, much more efficient that way.

wut? I have 10 on me at all times, how do you deal with G rank poison monsters?

>the virgin bowgunner
>puts out fuckhuge damage with no risk
>status effect spam
>can't deal with monsters if they get up close
>the chad HH
>buffspams everyone
>knocks the monster out with a big fucking horn
>takes wide range and makes it impossible for people to die even if they're trash
are HHbros truly the most chad people in the series? why isn't HH more popular?

>he uses antidotes instead of herbal medicine

Yes and it raped my healthbar.

I would also forget to bring cold drinks and still continue with the hunt.

So how will classicfags cope with this now? Imagine them playing the game and drinking the antidote and they accidentally pushed their analog stick to the right for a bit. They're gonna fucking cry.

Proper HH users don't nursemaid others. You get your prehunt buffs and the occasional heal if you really don't look to be in the position to do it yourself but beyond that everyone should be fighting their asses off. Same rule applies for SnS.

i don't personally care much for the changes either way but you have to admit it's a little bit ridiculous that you can just roll out of a drink at any time, user. Sure it "wastes the drink", but it keeps you alive, whereas in older MH you'd be dead.
It definitely made the game way easier and I wish they'd just prevent rolling during it.

We better get a Leviathan/Amphibian similar to Qurupeco that's based off of Nurarihyon and just calls other monsters to assist it.

Cope

>whereas in older MH you'd be dead.
In old monster hunter you would run out of the zone and heal don't kid yourself

HH is a support weapon, if you aren't buffing others then you're bringing the average dps down

Putting aside the Rise anger for a minute.

Playing Gen Ultimate, just fought my first Khezu. Pray tell me, fellow hunters... What the fuck was that boring BULLSHIT about? This slow, squishy little maggot was downright pathetic. I do appreciate a few of the ideas regarding its usage of electricity, but on the whole it was atrociously easily, and the only thing making me take a break from pummeling its face was its CONSTANT episodes of autistic screeching. Fuck, I couldn't even distract myself a bit by appreciating the music because there was NONE.

Did Capcom seriously think bringing this joke of a monster was a good idea? Fuck, Gigginox runs circles around it in every single aspect, I'm looking forward to that son of a bitch to actually have a good time fighting a cave abomination.

The damage a HH is going to put out < the damage the other three hunters will put out if they have no downtime whatsoever, as well as auxl applied the whole time
the whole "support horn bad :^)" thing is a bad meme, though I do agree that being a cornerhorner is fucking useless. HH's damage is hot garbage even on an optimal DPS horn, so why try to push your damage up to be mediocore at best when you could instead prevent others from having to stop doing damage, give them more damage and still do a bit of shitty damage yourself, as well as work up stun?

>Not just bringing herbal powder to carry your team even harder
I stopped caring about supporting the collective years ago. I'll bail out my friends if I have to but outside of that circle you're on your own.

There are no support weapons. Hunting horn is a hammer that makes others stronger and should be played as such. It's why HH users that can weave buffs into combos while hitting the monster are god tier and corner horners should be shamed into leaving the game.

>provide reasonable point for why classicfags don't like moving and healing
>"cope"
I accept your concession, user.
yeah that's true, but zones were also fucking retarded and them going was an objectively good change. Not arguing from a "old mh super hard and way gooder" perspective, I like world more than the older stuff. Just saying that I think being able to roll out at any time takes away a lot of risk.

I don't get how people don't realize that old games were different. Monsters no longer take 5 seconds to turn. They don't give you as much downtime compared to the old games, which makes walking and healing more balanced. Did you see Arzuros? They sped him in Rise.

Drink the potion user! Do the Pose user!

the pose was fucking retarded

anyone who uses antidotes is a faggot, because herbal remedy pills exist
>faster than antidote
>heals you for the poison damage taken
>doesn't make you look like a panic chugging bitch
>carry 5 instead of 10 BUT if you're getting poisoned that much in a fight you're probably already using free meal secret like a bitch anyway

exactly 48 hours till Fatty

It's just weird to see them throw the entire concept of MH under the bus to appeal to filthy casuals. This is Capcom, they know how to make a game and they know what they're doing.

Don't get hit and just regen the red bar after it wears off. Unless it's like, dreadqueen poison, it's fucking nothing.

Why is 4U rathian so much harder than I remember? I keep getting combo'd from wind pressure into tail flip and it does almost half my health in damage even wearing upgraded high rank armor. The World one was a complete pushover.

Monster AI in 4U was savage. Even going back from GU is hard to adjust to.

>healing ever

Attached: 1353476554239s.jpg (99x125, 3.38K)

Because wind actually did shit prior to World. Grab a weapon that can armor through it like a great sword and Rathian still becomes a pushover.

Based health augment bro

>slap on health augments and resentment
>monster is now double fucked because hits make me stronger until I heal the red bar by beating it into submission

My niggas. Why stop to heal when you can just hit the monster more?

On one hand, I'm hyped, on the other
>no AT velk until october 16th
It already fucking sucked when they did it with alatreon and frozen barioth

Neat. Pretty sure the sphere bits on it are baby spiders though, you can see them crawling around in the trailer.

This. The older games were precise exercises in prediction, foresight was everything in monster fights and a bad read meant 70% of your life bar was gone like that in something like FU or Tri.
MH hasn't been the same ever since. Every game gets speedier, monsters become way more active, tools become more varied and you get a shitload more to take in account (all to the detriment of the gameplay, IMO) for a reason. Monster Hunter stopped being about hunting monsters and became a Phantasy Star World 4 Ultimate Generations boss rush instead for a reason. And this new game is nowhere near as punishing or rewarding as what it's trying to imitate.
But if you enjoy it that's fine, too. Most people do.

I HOPE means Max potions have a different look to and hand a longer consuming animation. Being able to pop those like seeds was insanely broken in World even in spite of the moving while healing

>Not trading blows like a chad

Worth it every time.

Capcom themselves call it a support weapon, it's highlights are always how it buffs others, and it's balanced around that.
Get over it supportslut.

This. Horn trades raw power that Hammer has for the ability to apply buffs WHILE attacking. It still has decent KO potential and good Exhaust values, plus with Self-Improvement the fastest unsheathed speed to get where it needs to (the head).

This is why Double Notes existed, to encourage Horn players to be aggressive while dooting. Personally however, I really like Setlists from World. Setlists didn't encourage aggressive play, but they rewarded offensive Horn players. It rewards Horn players for coming up with optimal attack patterns that queue up three songs in a row while still hitting the monster with them. Echo Waves blend the two by adding melodies that require a strong new spin move to activate, some of the potential new melodies being entirely offensive in nature (Impact/Dragon Waves).

I don't know if Double Notes + Setlists + Echo Waves would be busted, but Horn is constantly the least-used weapon so fuck it, let it be a little too strong. Better that than just buffing its damage or KO or something to encroach on Hammer's territory. I also had the idea of giving some Horns melodies that affect monster behavior, like a sound that repels monsters like Dung or a song that can provoke a Turf War.
