You guys lied to me, this game sucks
off to ico then ?
>playing the horrible bluepoint version
>>more cutscenes than gameplay
well that's just wrong but your other points are valid I guess
>playing the remake
Hahahahahahahahaha retard
Team ico's games are shit, total memes.
Is this not a remaster?
PS2 version is literally the greatest post-2000 game of all time
Actually, Halo 2, the only good video game ever made, came out in 2004 (post-2000).
It's a DEMAKE
since we're dissing the remake and i never played it thankfully i do have a question to ask in regards to the ps3 version which im also pretty iffy on
on the third colossus(i think it was the third, the one holding the big pillar in ops pic) i would basically trick jump to the top of the head and im pretty sure its a common trick tons of people know about at this point. when it came out on ps3 i was pretty excited to do the trick again only to find it basically impossible to do. is that even possible to do anymore? did they completely change the physics or something? also why does wander trip up like, three times as much?
PS3 version is based on the PS2 PAL version which fixed a lot of bugs as well as exploits, like the one you mention. It also has different balancing, which throws people that only played American version off the loop.
More cutscenes than gameplay?
>more cutscenes than gameplay
If you're going to lie, at least do it right.
wow fuck that does explain a lot, since we did get the pal exclusives. i didnt know they fixed it though. that sucks, i liked the trick.
It literally fucking ruins the atmosphere of the world by making it feel lively. Also if you are gonna remaster a game a second time, this time giving it a full blown face lift. The least you could do was add the option to restore the cut content.
why are all the pics of cut colossi small blurry thumbnail shit?
Game magazine cutouts
fucking cunts
I don't think you understand how "cut content" is discovered.
Usually the way people discover it is by:
1. Early trailers having shit that isn't found in the released game
2. Early magazine screenshots having shit that isn't found in the released game
In this case it's the latter.
It's also from the era of printed magazines/vidya news and therefore small pics, ergo why it's small.
Play it more. You'll start to enjoy it, but many of the bosses are less about solving the puzzle, and more about dealing with jank in exactly the correct way the creators intended.
FWIW, the original version isn't any better apart from those two gifs that get posted every single time. But I'll take 10 seconds of stiff cutscene animations over huge and frequent FPS drops and shitty visuals.
You're right it's vastly overrated though
yeah, they could easily have posted a larger picture than a thumbnail in the magazine, tho. I understand WHY, but it didn't HAVE to be this way.
I just played this shit, I guarantee you I spent more time watching cutscenes than playing.
>half the game is traveling from point a to point b with nothing interesting going on because they needed to pad the game out because if it was just the colossi fights the game would take 2 hours to complete
Why do ppl say this is one of the greatest games of all time again
Because you're an ADHD zoomzoom that doesn't understand the concept of setting the tone and mood
Agreed. Some people on this board really think it’s great and the game just fucking blows. You spend half the game on that awful to control horse in a completely empty world.
Imagine not being able to enjoy Ueda's games
The demake trash in the OP is not Ueda's game.
>more cutscenes than gameplay
That game has barely any cutscene.
>horrendous controls
Imagine being a brainlet who cant grasp the concept of indirectly controlling Agro (like with a real horse).
>average story
Go back to your Persona 5 or something.
My bad. I didn't get to see this version playing out yet
this is the post
It was a cinematic experience before cinematic experiences were the norm
I just started playing the PS2 version last night and so far killed my first Colossi. Initial thoughts are holy shit the OST is great and the colossi staring at you is chilling as hell. My only issues so far is the framerate and the controls taking a while to get used to, especially the horseback. I also have the PS3 and PS4 version too, but I want to play the Original first to see how they fair. I heard that the PS3 version is pretty good, but the PS4 is a mess. Since I am pretty much gonna play through it 3 times, how long is the game?
