Fable 2 will never be ported to PC or nextgen

>Fable 2 will never be ported to PC or nextgen
>Fable 3 will never be relisted
>Anniversary exists

Why is it like this, though.

You can play it at 4k on an xbox

>what is backwards compatibility
>what is game pass

>Fable 3 will never be relisted.
Good.
Btw hopes for Fable reboot? I wish for no dog.

Are you upset that you can only play the good one?

There was literally nothing wrong with Anniversary. Only autists complaining about one fucking questionable facet--the lighting.

Because 3 was a lazy revamp of 2, and 2 was different in a not horrible, but not good either way from 1.
The complete first game is the best game.

The models look like shit.
The menus are not intuitive.
The load times are unbearable.

Fable 2 is an upgrade in pretty much every respect.

Minus the boss fight in the end, then again you can’t die in any fable game other than the first one.

>models look like shit
OF COURSE THEY DID YOU FUCKING RETARD, THEY LOOKED LIKE SHIT IN THE ORIGINAL TOO. If anything, it's consistent with the OG game, so I have no idea why you twats keep complaining about Anniversary when it's basically Fable 1, only with all of the content and revamped textures!

Shangri-la was good until he got the rabbit collar.

The models in the original looked fine. Compare the protag. In anniversary, he looks like the elephant man.

Jesus, it's hard to go into Fable threads now that the kids who grew up with 2 are old enough to post.

>the models in the original looked fine

Fucking tell me about it.
It's actually the contrary.

Fable 2 is almost playable on PC we have hope frens.

I thoroughly enjoyed fable 1 and 2.
If it weren't for the co op, I'd think less of 2,but because my bro and I had such a great time, it has elevated it to my favourite of the series.
That said, you really can't top the whimsical sense of mystery in og fable.
Fuck anniversary though, everything looks way worse.

Yes. Not only are they fine but they are leagues better than the tumour riddles character models of anniversary.
Oh, and to add onto my earlier list of other shortcomings in the remake, it also has more instances of frame drops, pop in and adopts the retarded controls scheme of 2 for its magic as its default, hiding the superior scheme behind its garbage menus.

Fable is a great game but it’s a barebones game that’s extremely easy. Also it’s like 8 hours long with an extra 2-4 with lost chapters, plus it hs very little weapon variety.

Fable 2 just has more, also regarded as the best one by everyone except you pc cucks.

>everything looks way worse
How do people even believe this shit?

I enjoyed Fable 3
the outfit selection was way better than in 2. Although the weapon upgrade system in 3 gave me cancer and AIDS combind

I don't own a PC and played TLC on the og xbox.
Let's compare both games.
Combat in Fable 2 is less mechanically involved with a retarded new flourish system that requires no involvement, OP ranged weapons that pop heads in slomo and magic that requires you to hold be and nothing else. To top it off, you literally cannot even die. All punishment is gone, so all investment is gone. Fable 1 was exploitable, but it was at the very least mechanically involved.
Character building is also weaker. Fable 2 offers a grand total of 8 spells. It removes armor values. Theres less things to spend XP on. Guile is gone. Accuracy is gone. Its outfit selection is trash and the dye colours all look like fucking vomit.
Exploration sounds expanded, on paper, with more open space to explore. However the introduction of both the dog (guides you to treasure) and the golden trail (guides you to your objective) completely eliminates any need for you to explore.
Side content is not expanded upon in meaningful ways. Work is boring, real estate is pointless since gold is useless. Marriage offers no incentive or reward. NPCs are just as braindead which is unforgivable in a gen 7 rpg.
Morality is expanded upon in the most shallow way, as in they simple added another axis without creating actual moral dilemmas or making choices matter. The sequel does nothing to expand this lacking aspect.
You get the picture. Fable 2 is a 5/10. Average game that can be fun if you turn your brain off. Fable 1 is far, far superior.

Because they changed the art design.
It's not about graphical effects or texture resolution. It is about the proportions, palette and general unified aesthetic of the game.
Anniversary changed things for the worse.

Home :)

Nice thumbnail.

I'm looking forward to this greatly

Because Fable 1 was the only great Fable.

>only four weapon types in total
>no unique models
>like 4 total handle/8 body styles
>some of the body styles are only used on fucking pre-order weapons and otherwise unobtainable
Absolutely nothing made up for that horseshit

why would you want even fewer features in this game?
i want no romance, no aging, and no kingdom management

I LOVED fable 3, and I own it on PC. Get fucked faggots

It’s more streamlined, but the world is much more fleshed out with more quests and better demon doors.

Like I said Fable is great, but they all are barebones RPGs. Like I guess there was more “build” variety in Fable (which is funny considering the content) but none of it really mattered.

As you typically go with what looks the best to you, or full plate for stats (which didn’t matter) you get so many ressurection vials and no option to increase difficulty without making the game monotonous that they just did away with it all.

So they just amplified the reasons people played the first game. Customization and playing a theme park RPG that nobody has even attempted to replicate for whatever reason.

Fable 2 is the best example of this with the OG fable being a close second.

Fable 3 goes overboard but follows the same philosophy. That’s also the longest game with the most content, it’s good but it loses some integrity by adding monotonous horse shit.

Great memories of Fable. The humor, setting, and art style really was great. The lore was cool and I felt it really nailed the adventure game perfectly. Hard to say it was a wide open RPG. Music was kick ass too, each are felt very unique. Great memories playing pub games on my 360 too with my highschool friends just hanging out eating pub mix from Costco. Top tier comfy, everything was so much better then.

Is there any other RPG that can match Fable's sense of whimsy?
