First of all, no one said Nakoruru. She's not even the mascot character of her own franchise let alone the one to be chosen for Smash. Everyone already knew Mai couldn't get in because of her revealing outfit, and Terry was only assumed AFTER "leakers" like Sabi and Vergeben said it was Terry a day or so after the SNK leak. Go on YouTube and look at actual Neo Geo fans the day the SNK leak happened (like Neo Geo Now for example), who thought it was Kyo. Even Maximillian Dood who despite being a fake SNK fan thought it was going to be Haohmaru.
