Is gacha actually an underrated game genre?

If you think that's all there is to gacha, you've sadly missed the point. Besides, you getting angry at games that are different won't change its popularity.

Gundam Battle Operation 2 does this as well. I hate how it dictates your gameplay. Not so much pay to win as it is spin to win. I can only imagine how much bloat there is to these gacha games. Which they can control too. Only way to fight this is to let them starve and get anxious, but on a community wide level. But most gacha players are people that crave stimulation and probably are developing an addictive personality over these games like a psychosis. And the creators just sit back collecting money.

I've played a ton of gacha games and I've never spent a cent. What's the point of paying, it doesn't feel like you earned the roll when you get it. With limited resources you're legit happy when you get something and you're more focused on enjoying the game. I'm legit not even going to roll for characters in this game, I just like walking around the world and fighting.

Genshin Impact is unironically trash. I bought into the hype and tried it out. The game legitimately revolves around you controlling 4 characters that all have 1 spell + 1 ult and then you just combine them. The combat is so mindless that it's 10x worse than MOBA games.

The world itself also feels incredibly boring and lifeless. You get "rewarded" for exploring through finding chests and hidden areas, but at the end of the day every single "reward" you find is just a chest that has a 90% chance to contain something useless that you don't care about. On the off chance that you get the lucky 10%, it's gonna be an extremely miniscule upgrade that doesn't feel rewarding at all.

The story is also straight up garbage and insanely boring. It's so bad that every single time a cutscene comes on, I just alt+tab and wait for it to pass. I have NEVER felt the need to do that in any other game. It feels like the story was written by a bunch of 14 year old highschool students as some sort of exam project.

I'm not even gonna begin to touch on the gacha shit aspect of the game. Everyone knows it's trash and shouldn't exist. 0.1666% chance to get the upgraded character or weapon that you want and you can only get it by either paying or waiting for 6 months? Yeah, get the fuck outta there.
