Events should have both an RNG to start as well as a way for players to trigger each event.
The changes in the switch version proves this is best.

Agree. Getting rid of the RNG entirely would be an over-correction. Events randomly triggering makes the town feel more alive and gives the illusion that things are happening independently of you. I prefer that to the bulletin board approach.

My bad, I thought you were that one user with the headcannon about Pico being a soulless puppet for Dolce's true feelings. To me, that just makes their characters and their interactions a lot less interesting. I agree with how well they compliment each other, it's one of the reason why they're two of my favorite characters in the series.
