i have no idea how you figure that. 2 was intentionally uncomfortable to add to the atmosphere and mental illness of the characters and it worked in a really subtle way. 3 has little in common with lynch, it's a much more straightforward horror story

I tried playing SH1 multiple times but idk it just didn't click. Last time I played it I only went so far as to school.
At first I thought the truck control filtered me. But after that I tried playing RE3 original and I enjoyed and finished it.

The voice acting in 2 was far too over the top, even eraserhead wasn't like that. SH3 was much more along the lines of mulholland drive as well as twin peaks.

Japan has plenty of bad performances, but they also have really good ones
