>"Open world", but not like elder scrolls etc. More like large connected hubs. The player still has to progress through the storyline to unlock certain areas.
>entire world can be explored with zero warping once all the regions are unlocked
>total world size dwarfs previous Souls but is smaller than other popular open world titles, however it makes up for it in slow "involved" exploration, meticulous detail and verticality not done in other games
>the build potential and weapon selection is so large that certain PvP/COOP balancing issues are being left until after 1.0 and seeing what the player base comes up with
>COOP is much more integrated, players can stay in another players world for as long as they want unless they die
>certain items are now dynamic and respawn out in the open areas (not always in the same place), such as some healing items
>these can now be easily shared between COOP players in an easier way compared to previous games
>playing as a specific class is more important to be effective, and the number of weapons than can be carried has been reduced to 2
>you do not have access to your whole inventory out in the field - only whats on your character
>Items must be swapped out at player placed camps, essentially the new bonfire.
>these last few points are to encourage a more oldschool RPG class feeling, with players forming parties with each player specializing in a build
>the game can still be played entirely solo if you wish, difficulty scaling is much more robust in COOP than in previous titles

>bro i can pass a fake leak off as long as i sound casual.

sounds good, but I doubt any of it's true.

I know this is fake, but I actually hope the
>can only carry two weapons
>items must be swapped out at camps
stuff is true. It's better to force players into making commitments.

OOOHH ELDEN RING OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH

>you do not have access to your whole inventory out in the field - only whats on your character

One can only hope.
So desperate for Elden Ring news that I'm just going to assume this is true for now

If any of this is true then I would actually be curious. As it is I'm not excited, but the idea of not relying on fast travel, limited inventory and stricter roles between classes has me intrigued.

I hope not because that surely means having to leave something if you want to pick something up and knowing FS dropping means it will dissapear when you reload the area

I love how when cyberpunk 2077 was first teased we had nothing to discuss but PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for years, and now with elden ring the cycle is repeating itself
OOOOOOOOOHHH ELDEN RING

They will probably just put it into your inventory at your camp.

this is my favorite type of open world.

Pack a lighter inventory with less valuable stuff that you'd be willing to drop for a nice item. With specialised classes you might not want to even pick up some items. Looting has worked in other games there's no reason it shouldn't here. It's artificial difficulty but it makes you think what's important that you need to carry and part of the fun of roleplaying in a fantasy game.

one thing i like about turning Skyrim into a survival simulator is that the mod setup great reduced your carry weight so you really had to think before you set off on a trip.

I call bullshit if you can carry only two weapons and catalysts count as weapons

I'd imagine catalysts would absolutely count as a weapon given how essential they are to a playstyle.

I can see why they would do this. How often have you ran into a try-hard invader who was decked out with multiple weapons specifically designed to deal with every situation? If you can do everything, you're not a "build". If true, it seems like that want us to make committed choices and I'm all down for that.

Fake. No fromsoft employee would have the heart to leak, even if they were terminated and there were no consequences. They're too bro, and that's why they make such good fucking games.

Who cares, where's my sekiro 2?

I know this is fake, but I really like the idea of phantoms staying in your world.

If the game has half of these, it will be truly incredible.

i only use 2 weapons on each slot anyways unless im using a bow too.

But it's shit, my archetype is a jack of all trades, one handed weapon, bow and some spells, it sucks that I can't do that in Elden Ring if this leak is true

These two are pretty much the only ones I can confirm have to be true, from garnering information from the initial interviews and that recent sekiro video where they momentarily talked about the game. I still think those two would still make the game be great even if they are the only true things on here.

I really wonder what kind of architectural styles we'll see in Elden Ring. In Demon's Soul concept art notes we found out that Miyazaki, much like Berserk's Miura, likes to take real life castles and cathedrals and transplant them into his game world depending on the style of buildings and century. This is best seen contrasted in Dark Souls. Where human cities had the usual medieval 11th century Romanesque buildings, alleys and battlements while the gods had the high 16th century Gothic Milanese style.

If Elden Ring does indeed feature multiple "kingdoms" and factions then it would really be neat to see the variety represented in that aspect. The human(?) knights seen in the trailer all wore decorated 15th century plate armors and spears so maybe this time the humans will have a more sophisticated settlements, like in Dark Souls 3, while the opposing nation/gods(?), which I'm assuming are the red haired helmet girl and the red haired giant, will have the more ancient looking BC styles like those Myanmar pyramids in Dark Souls 1.

Sounds good which means it's probably fake

Seems like a wish list combined with what can be safely assumed.

God I just won't to explore an unknown world with no looking at wikis or guides
