It's good but parts of it are genuinely trash and poorly designed. It also has collision issues that can be infuriating if they happen to you. At least most of the bullshit levels are optional and only required if you go for 100%.

Only having 7 levels vs 15 in 64 and having the blue coin filler stars just sucks. At least the movement is still great, but that's about the only thing I'd praise Sunshine for.

I had more fun replaying 64 than Sunshine, but I still think the Galaxy games are the best 3D Mario games. I'd even play 3D World before I'd play Sunshine again.

Sunshine was when the illusion that Nintendo could do no wrong was shattered for me. At the time Sunshine was a 6/10 game to me, with some nice moments and atmosphere but overall a mess of a game.
