I'm a shitter who plays on normal so I'll wait for someone else

Initially use only the game's autosave system, so you will be forced to complete entire parts of the battles and develop knowledge of which weapons work best in each situation.

For the love of gods, guys, keep the Sam threads alive, I don't think I've ever seen that much comfiness on this board. And pls include Sam in the title so it's easier to ctrl+f them. Thank you bois

Everything to do with Sam is target priority, learn what kills an enemy fastest and kill the ones that kill you the most first keep applying this sort of thing and you'll end up dancing through the hordes easily, Sniping Scrapjacks and Reptiloids on sight is a good example and make sure you headshot the fuckers.

both good tips
seeing as how this is a SS4 thread boys:

Seriously, that secret had me grinning ear to ear. Fucking 100 firecrackers in a hallway. Classic Croteam shenanigans. The game is desperately lacking in these kinds of encounters so far.

>The game is desperately lacking in these kinds of encounters so far.
there is a TON of wasted space to monster closet the player and it's a real shame I hope they patch in more of this stuff.

I want a mod that gives you two skill points from each orb. It sucks not being able to unlock everything in one playthrough, and not getting some good ones like enemy riding until the end.

I've only played TFE and TSE, did 3 introduce the ADS, skill tree, and story focus? it's really weird seeing this stuff

There needs to be a NG+ where you begin anew with all your skills and weapons, but the enemy counts and encounters are through the roof to compensate.

3 introduced ADS, sprinting, reloading, and a bit more story focus. 4 added even more story stuff and the skill tree.

3 did introduce ADS but it made no real difference there and could be ignored since guns that had it were accurate regardless. 4 went and introduced spread because headshots actually matter now and would be trivial to pull off if the guns handled like they used to.

I would rather have powerups replace certain parts of the tree and have others be implemented by default like faster reloading and sprinting and shooting etc.

Seriously?

Idea: gadgets aren't pickups but instead recharge based on score. You pick a gadget to "charge" and any points gained with that gadget selected goes towards giving you another usage of it. Some gadgets take more points than others to recharge and you can only charge one gadget at a time. If you switch to a different gadget before one is recharged it resets the progress. Progress would be saved between levels though as long as you don't switch off the one you're charging.

That flaming chainsaw launcher is extremely overpowered. I tried to win the quarry battle only with the devastators and I was having a lot of difficulty, so I decided to use this weapon and it made the battle extremely easy. I bet it will be difficult to find ammunition for it, however...

I only found one piece of ammo for it after getting it.

As someone nearly finished with TFE on Serious after doing BFE on Hard, this all sounds fun

Is that the best you can do?

In base 3 ADS DID do something but the reticle didn't bloom to show it.
In fusion the aim on everything was tightened to the point where it's more a button you forget exists.

Canon will always be my love, but the XL2 Laser Gun Death Ray is probably my favorite addition to a weapon.
Draconian Pyromaniacs are easily my favorite new enemy. I struggled fighting one at first but at the end of the game I was killing practically dozens in one go at it felt amazing.
Anathema Unto God on Serious mode. That final stretch before the boss is some real god damn shit.
Rocketeer Pill Secret. It was like one of the few secrets I can find because I've always sucked dick at finding them.

It kinda sucks we didn't get more music compared to other games but what it there is fucking godly.

Absolutely night and day. Only Croteam 20 fucking years to make proper gun animations. The stiffness from BFE to 4's smoothness is utterly sublime.

>Anathema Unto God on Serious mode
Bowling the Arachnoids from the towers with the cannons made me feel like I was playing TFE/TSE again for the first time I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot.

i accidentally put a cheat in on controller trying to see if it was fucking with my m+kb but declined to activate it since I was mid level and wanted my leaderboard/achievement progress
I beat the game now so what cheats are there and how do I get to them?

Something like that combined with a serious+ mode would be great. Add new item and enemy spawns to the beginning levels to spice things up with your complete loadout.

cool
now I wonder how the fuck I activated something with controller
