FUCK this game. Takes hours upon hours to edit ANYTHING about your island. Counter intuitive for the sake of CUTE NINTENDO ANIMATIONS. No wonder Animal Crossing threads don’t get hype anymore. People do not have that kind of autistic time and are ultimately fed up. Stop drip feed adding content and allow an easy way to edit customize everything that isn’t a boring timesink.

the only thing New Horizons has going for it is better clothes options and putting anything outside. maybe terraforming but it's tedious as fuck, as well as better control of who your villagers are. besides that, New Horizons chokes dick

Yeah, I put more time into New Leaf and found myself enjoying emulating it on Citra after New Horizons didn't quite grab me in the way I was hoping it would.

I got tired of this game after like 2 months, I was never out of work so I never had the time to pour into making my island something unique. It started feeling more and more like a chore checking turnip prices and watering flowers and pulling weeds and checking the stores etc etc
I dunno, they need to simplify a lot of things with QOL updates before it's more accessible in 30min-1hr periods

I don't feel the same. Having a whole island plus the house to decorate ruins NL for me. All NL has is more furniture being able to TT to holidays which doesn't interest me. There's not much else to do in that game than decorate your house. You can talk to the animals but the dialog is just a bad there. In a different way, though. NL's dialog is bland and boring while NH's has good dialog buried under a bunch or topical stuff like "I saw you digging up fossils" or "thanks for watering the flowers".
