Didn't the guy who made this get in trouble molesting someone?

No, just some tumblrites freaking out because he was following an artist who drew loli doujins.

I think you taalking about the Act-Age author.

Cause I'm too stupid to code.

no but i want to leave my mark on the anals of kanamori's history hahaha

domination appeal

I've thought about it, but I'm one of those guys who has more ideas than skill.
But mostly this

I can't code

I bought dreams so I could try making vidya. Turns out I'm too retarded to make something as simple as a board game because it would require a non-zero amount of programming.

I can't code, either.
I also worry that it will take seven years to make one little RPG by myself

IS this a covert sayaka thread on Zig Forums

There's a million things I need to do first but one day I'd like to make a game, even just a tiny little gamemaker thing

In the meantime I like making mockups

Tall, skinny, freckles, not conventionally attractive, and yakuza attitude.

you got a page or something?

I've made a doom map once and I'm working on a Half Life: Alyx map in hammer 2 that I may or may not finish eventually. It's not much in the grand scheme of things but I'm proud of what little I have done even if they're both objectively shit mods. I don't work in the industry itself because it chews people up and spits them out, and I'd probably crumble like a house of cards if ever asked to do crunch time. I don't want to become one of those bitter asshole developers on twitter that uses the word "gamer" like Zig Forums uses the word nigger, I actually like video games and I feel like working in the industry would make me lose my passion for it meanwhile I can just work on mods for existing games at my own pace when I feel like it.

anyway thanks user

So you're the guy from the Paper Mario threads? That's so cool, I've always been fonder of 64's style for some reason.

How about making your own boomer shooter, user? Or maybe more WADs?
just a couple suggestions, always do what makes you happy user

Paper Mario's sprites are so well done, when I was younger I just assumed they were just downscaled drawings but when I got a good look at them now I realized they're sprites carefully constructed to make them look cartoony

Pixel art doesn't just have to look like the NES/SNES

Game development takes a shitload of time, also I have no idea how to code and would probably make a buggy, unoptimized disaster if I ever tried to go full hog on the development of an entire game. I just make maps because it's mostly "square shapes with props and entities inside them with occasional geometry bumps to give them believable definition go brrrr" and is super easy once you understand the UI of whatever editor you're working with. I'm also a sprint not a marathon kind of guy, and making entire games is a marathon. Heck, just the doom map I made took like a month to complete and it wasn't even remotely good and can be completed in like 3 minutes.

There's also the fact that I don't see the point of making a boomer shooter in an oversaturated market of boomer shooters when I don't feel like I could add anything new or more refined to the formula. I like doing character dialogue and making spaces that feel lived in.

Are there guides for that sort of style? Or is it something that you have to figure out?

My cute raccoon and human wives.
