I’m bronze 4 and just started playing this season, I main Irelia and a bunch of other Botlane champs like vayne and Morgana. I just started playing this season and I really want to hit diamond lads
How do I do it?

>How do I get better at League of Legends?
You don't. You quit the game and find an actual fun game to play.
You know League is dogshit, so just quit now.
i'll add u homie
I unironically enjoy playing it and getting better at it though
For sure sometimes teammates are toxic brainlets but I usually mute chat everytime I play
Based fren, I’m on OCE btw
fuck dude im on NA, nofrens today
literally and i mean it watch some guides on youtube
first thing you want to learn is how to manage your lane, how to play around minions, how to properly CS, you should learn what is your objective in the game, you dont want to stay on lane for 30 minutes and farm
you have to learn when is the good time to go back, what items to buy i different situations, you need to look at minimap from time to time to not get ganked like a bitch, you have to know your champion limits and what enemy champion does and if you can go on him or stay back and wait for jungler etc. there is a lot of things but when you learn them you will enjoy the game even more because with those basics you will learn from your mistakes and you will know what even is happening around you
many things you need to learn is not your personal skill on a champion but so called macro management its just basics things that you have to know in order to get better player
if you know these basics then all you got to do is improve your micro which means you have to practice certain champions you like and get better with them
>I unironically enjoy playing it and getting better at it though
based
if i could i would wish to forget everything i know about this game and learn all things and champions again
first two or so years of playing this game were the best years of my life in terms of gaming experience
Unless you play in KR or China as top you can get to high diamond purely on knowing how to last hit and how to abuse split pushing/counter picks. The game is a shitty grind where only about 10 to 20% of games you play actually allow you to impact the game and climb, the rest is auto lost or auto won depending on matchmaking.
Stop trying to climb by playing adc and support, it's only role in game that actually requires mechanical prowess even in lower divisions. Also it's pointless to learn how to mechanically master vayne or irelia when you fucking average 2 cs per minute and your map/macro awareness is probably nonexistent.
Honestly just learn how to average 10 cs per minute and swap picks with your team to not get counter picked into oblivion, use software like blitz to tell you builds and counterpicks to champs. Then just farm until you flame horizon your bronzil opponents and get 1-2 item lead of farm alone. In OCE that's instant high plat.
Do you have any tips on how to reach 10 cs/minute? Right now on irelia I can maintain 7/min if I tryhard and 6/min if I autopilot
Should I be looking to steal enemy raptors or doing things like taking red buff if my jungler is topside?
Best advice in the thread
I wasted roughly 7000 hours of my life into league and it's the biggest regret of my life.
I've played various other games for 1000-4000 hours and I still love the games to this day but league is the biggest fucking pile of dogshit I wish I never played.
I realized way too late that I wasn't enjoying playing the game, I was obsessed with climbing the ranks. I did enjoy the initial first season of playing, when things were new and I was learning the game, trying out each champion etc. After picking up ranked, everything went down the fucking drain. Constantly stressing out each match, raging at shit teammates, repeating the same thing over and over again playing the same champions, facing the same champions all according to the meta. I played for so long without enjoying my time, I would sometimes play with my friends and the game would literally tear our friendship apart when we'd be raging and blaming each other for minute things.
I quit before I'd lose anyone over it and the relief was sweet and the burden was completely off of my shoulders.
Don't get hooked onto a skinner box of a game or you'll rue the day.
Oh man i'd add you since I have no one to play with and everyone's na or eu but I dont play that game anymore, good luck anyway
Don't. Just stop fucking playing man it's not worth it. Ad someone who's played since season 2 all that is down this path is negative energies. Just drop it now. It will take a lot of practice and learning to get good though.
best way to get better is a combination of playing a lot, and cross referencing what you're doing with what the pros are doing. it's lame but even 5 minutes in a stream of a challenger player you'll hear them say shit like "this item is broken" and you'll pick up on what to build, what the abusable things are in the current patch. idk how long you've been playing for but you also might need to just stick to one or 2 champions for a while and really build up the muscle memory so you can focus more on improving your game sense/macro game e.g map control. defensive wards vs offensive wards, when to roam and when not to, when to take the lead with pinging your team and when to follow others. also for adc specifically the golden rule should be to cs more and die less. leaving botlane at midgame with 0/0/0 is totally fine, it's better than feeding. capitalise on enemy mistakes to get kills, don't be aggressive yourself unless you're sure they don't have the tools to win the fight, or their jungler isn't near
Play Annie until you get to gold
>I main Irelia and a bunch of other Botlane champs like vayne and Morgana
stick to one role
don't you have some worlds matches to look over, LS?
>there are still people falling for the moba skinnerbox trap in 2020
cringe
i was diamond in season 3 or smth and wasted almost my entire puberty on this game.
Now, so many years later i started again and everything that was bad back then is worse now.
(Except for maybe the bot bushes - they are cool)
the game will never change and neither will the community. the problems of this game, which cause players to rage and destroy the experience, are fundamental problems in how the game works.
I did a lot of shit in my life but starting to play league and always coming back to it is the only addiction im really embarrassed of.
I used to be the "cool kid" amongst my gaming nerd friends when i was 14 and playing with hotshotgg, bigfatjiji and flamed ocelot in front of like 7000 players cause he was the biggest douche in the league community but now telling them that i win most of my games and i just spent 2 weeks doig nothing but playing league is just sad.
everybody tells me to stop and its the only answer for this game.
it is simply not healthy and eats wayyyyy to much time.
>i mute chat everytime i play
So you don't coordinate with your teammates in a team game? you won't get better then
please learn to enjoy better games
>eats wayyyyy to much time
this is the main reason i don't play ranked anymore. having fun in normals or aram is cool but seriously chasing high rank just means you don't have time to play any other games. you need to be totally absorbed in the game
There is nothing u can do except switch to a low response 144hz monitor. If u have one already and don't climb by just playing/watching good players, u are doomed.
this , and also stay in touch with the meta, you could watch pro play for reference or just use the patchly weekly tier lists people make on youtube
keep in mind that things that work in pro play don't necesseraliy work on soloq, you'll probably enjoy watching the stupid antics you sometimes see in pro matches anyway
forgot to mention that if you really just want to climb pick jungle or mid and a champ that can carry
There are challengers like adrian and tfblade who mute chat every game
>imagine queing for ~10 minutes (including champ select + probability of someone leaving etc.) just to have a lucian that has 2 deaths at 6 minutes in mid and says "ciao" and leaves.
now we have to continue this garbage match which is already lost till 15 min.
funniest part is when someone clicks "no" on the surrender button then.
riot doesn't give a shit about your time. it doesn't even try to save you some minutes here and there.
time should be the most valuable thing for us yet we are sitting here throwing buzzwords like int, diff, feeder, and other cringe at each other online.
talking shit is literally the only fun part about this game.....
This. The game is just badly designed. Matches are all about getting ahead just a little as soon as possible and then just snowball into the late game. Expensive items are more cost effective than cheap ones so a few kills on the early game for one team gives it the victory unless they play bad or overextend, but at that point the randomness of good teammates matters more than skill. Also, Riot keeps pushing their own "meta" which is no meta at all but the strats they allow to play. No room for creative builds or lineups as they are not viable.
But knowing LoL's flaws is advice on itself. Haven't played in like a year so things might have changed, who knows. For dota likes, HoN and Dota2 are just better. For coop f2p, PoE or FFXIV are decent time sinks.
I played like 2k games this past season with delusions of getting good enough to start streaming. Though I did try my ass off i never made it to plat kek.
just onetrick for ranking up user. Play normals for fun.
Name few
oh it doesn't really matter. You can get really good with any champ and carry yourself up. Just pick one you like playing and keep playing him.
