Elves in FF11 and FF14 are actually high-str elves and surprisingly martial. They don't even have good DEX in ffxi and are one of the two smashem-races. In both games they are heavily protrayed as being the stand-in for anglo saxon style knights and chivalry.
Almost no one playes female elves there because they're pretty lanky. But god do I find them sexy. I'd spoil anyone who played an elf or highlander.
