Just beat this and even though I've never played Galaxy 2 and 3D World I think it's the best 3D Mario game. 3D Land is what I always wanted 3D Mario to be. What do you guys think about this game?

Its a decent game, simple and clean. far from the best.

I loved how the amount of levels doubled after beating it, and unlocking luigi & tonooki suit

It's the best because it's the most "2D" 3D Mario game.

i beat the main game and got to like world 2 of the special stages and might keep playin?? it's fine it's just so forgettable

Same. I beat it. Enjoyed it. Would recommend to experience it.

The box art describes it for what it is:short, fun and simple.

Because it lacks any gimmicks. 64 is the first 3D Mario, Sunshine is Mario on vacation, Galaxy is Mario in space. 3D Land is just Mario... in 3D? That's why it's so forgettable, good game anyway

It’s alright. Obviously if you enjoy it 3D World and even Galaxy 2 (what with its more linear nature) are right up your alley. Those two blow 3D Land out of the fucking water

Not to be a shitter but I think it's really boring and very by the numbers, though it's been some years now. It just left no impression on me and it's really forgettable.

Same. My favorite, had more fun than 64. Something about simple level design gets me. Maybe I'm just a brainlet I dunno.

It's a good 7 out of 10 for me. It's just too easy and unmemorable to rate any higher

Yeah I just beat it yesterday. Like most people said the game is fine but forgettable because it's easy and lacks a gimmick. Still worth playing if you want more Mario

This, the 3D was a nice novelty though.

one of the best bowser sequences in the series. I don't know why they don't do more time sensitive chase/run away stuff in a series of games where you run around

I'm the exact opposite. I think it stinks. It's nothing what I want Mario games to be.

I agree with the sentiment that it's fun but forgettable. instead of doing a by the numbers mario level EVERY level, they should have had more variety. everything kind of blends together. same problem I have with galaxy 2 (among others).

it makes it vastly more replayable it feels eternally fresh
probably the best bowser fight in the franchise

Nah, 3D Land is like a 6/10, World is like 8/10. Galaxy 2 is the real masterpiece

I also just played and beat the game a few days ago and it's not too bad but the levels are incredibly short in my opinion and the game in general is short as well
also, there is no scaling difficulty it feels like, some levels in the later worlds are easier than some levels way earlier, granted the game isn't challenging in general, which is expected since it's a mario game and probably designed for kids and early teenagers in mind
I ended up missing only like 2 or 3 stars total throughout the game, the rest I got organically without much hardship or going out of my way to get them

My favorite 3DS game and possibly favorite Mario game. This is what 3D Mario should be. Take the world of the old 2D games and make it 3D
