SOULE

best rpg ever made based

Replay Oblivion in autumn, then replay Skyrim in winter.

Pure kino

So it's not just me. Cozy fall weather consistently makes me nostalgic for Oblivion. Reminds me of skipping school to stay home and play the PS3 version on my CRT. Decorating my owned homes was somehow easier with a controller than it was when I moved to PC.

>didnt play on 360
absolutely soulless

I did. I went from 360 to PS3 to PC. PS3 was honestly better because 360 load times slowed to a fucking crawl after about 30 minutes. I don't know if it was overheating or what, but it got insufferable after a while.

>blows majority of budget on two actors
Still amazing game. Went through a few months ago on a Breton destruction, conjugation, alteration build.

Unplayable without mods. Bows were useless and if I remember correctly, two-handed swords had no advantage over damage than one-handed swords. So you played without a shield for no reason.

Bows were fine though?

It's called role playing user

I kind of want to break out the old 360 just to play this game again. The memories hit me hard from just the title screen alone.

mod fags are so fucking soulless oblivion is peak kino I cant imagine ruining it with mods

Mods can be good after you've played the game 10 times over.

no

Skyrim is just so much more...fun

I like skyrim but oblivion has better quests.

>I cant imagine ruining it with mods
The skill system is so abjectly broken that I think the opposite is true

its fine you ape

Honestly I can hardly stand to play this shit anymore and having now played the rest of the games I kinda resent what it did to cyrodiil, but I'm still more nostalgic for it than almost anything else

youtu.be/s9L9sNtv1-g

>wanting cyrodiil to be a jungle

Jungles are the most ugly drab places imaginable fuck you

there's a lot more to it than that but okay

In what universe is a system where being good at something means avoiding using the skill and avoiding leveling wherever possible a smart idea? The fact that it doesn't work as the design intended isn't an opinion.

Let's be honest, it was kinda shit tho

seethe

Skyrim is bland and tasteless. The dungeons are on rails. The quests are lame and boring. Everything to do with it is just boring.

Why can't people just let me enjoy my nostalgia in peace.

>MUH RICEFIELDS MUH RIVER ECONOMY MUH RAIN FORESTS.

now we're talking

>Dat mission where you fall asleep on the Inn ship and its taken by pirates out to sea and you have to fight your way off
>With high enough speech skill you can talk the pirate captain into giving up peacefully

>Dat entire Dark Brotherhood quest line

>Dat Mages guild quest where they tell you to get the Ring of Burden from the well
>Drop everything & buff strength and you can actually carrey it back

>Dat giant mudcrab in the underground cave

>Dem comfy as fuck Ayelid ruins

>Dem empty beautiful rolling hills

>Murdering townsfolk and then using a custom “+100 disposition for 5 seconds” spell on a guard then he says “No worries Bro I’ll let this one slide since we are homies”

>Dat Cloud Ruler Temple

>The end of the game when Martin [spioiler]turns into a fucking dragon[/spoiler]

>mod game for a week
>play 2 days
>mod some more
>stop playing after kvatch
>repeat every 2 years

what SINGLE mod can i install to make the levelling/skills/scaling not pants on retarded?
if i start installing dozens of mods i get too carried away and never actually play

Jungles are disgusting and thank god Based Todd changed it. Oblivion cyrodiil is peak comfy and all your seething and dilating wont change that

Dangerously based

I honestly can't understand the nostalgia feels people have with this game. The towns look like a budget Hollywood interpretation of a European town, the outside areas are just your average temperate climate scenery and the character models look retarded. Especially those faces with their lobotomy bland expressions, gives me the creeps.

What's sad is that Oblivion's art design and innate understanding of urban planning makes it a richer experience than Skyrim even if it is broken in many ways.

It's fun just to sneak around Skingrad.

>just your average temperate climate scenery
The Jews want the white man to think their lands and culture are boring and average. Fuck you kike nigger jungles will never look good
