Are you still mad?

I was late to the party and enjoyed it

Nah
I still think it's shit but Bioware has been dead to me for so long now that I'm not mad anymore

not as much considering it pulled off the dour war atmosphere pretty well which is more than i can say for GoT

Mass Effect was always shit, but i had a good laugh at ME3 failure

I was never mad, I thought the endings were fine and people were retarded to hate it, it's like someone told them to and everyone jumped into the wagon for no reason at all, most of them can't justify why they are bad endings or offer a solution

I bet EA is mad, they lost a franchise and Bioware has been making nothing but fucking garbage that bombs over and over now

He really couldn't have lied any more blatantly than this

op just be direct and ask for next time

Even as someone who wasn't THAT invested in the game, yes I am still mad. This plot had such potential, and whoever wrote the plot of this game clearly didn't even play the first two.

The whole danger of the Reapers, was they attacked after shutting off the mass relays, so every system was crippled and unable to support eachother. The Reapers would never attack without first disabling the mass relays, because I got the impression from some dialogue in the first game that they would be fairly easy to defeat without doing so. Then in this game they just randomly attack and almost win?

Them prioritising Earth was dumb, the Reapers should have been above that sort of thing. They could've had this war last 10 games not three. The galaxy spanning war with the protheans lasted decades at least iirc. Our one last about a fortnight.

The crucible was interesting. That was about it. The fight on Earth was also totally underwhelming. Just tonnes of missed opportunities. Ultimately the fans lost a great series, the writiers got their reputations rekt, and the company lost out on a valuable property.

Contrarian fag

No I just don’t give a shit about Mass Effect or Bioware in general anymore. I’ve moved on and CDPR is my favorite RPG developer now.

ME2 selling out like hotcakes accelerated ME3's development schedule, they wanted to cash in with the IP as a yearly series.

A bit, not ironically.
And it is true that Mass effect had a lot of flaws, but i liked it.

You know, I dont even care about plot holes, gameplay or all that shit.

What I fucking hated was the blatant lie the fucking Hudson told us. That 'no choice between a few things'. Motherfucker, thats exactly what you did.

I wouldnt have cared if the ending was a cutscene depending on my choices throughout the game, pretty much like Witcher 3. What they fucking did is not making literally any of the choices you made matter at all.

Thats why I'm mad.

I'm over it. It's still a fun game despite the garbage writing and has some genuinely good moments.

>"its not you will get A, B, C ending"
>game gets released
>its really ABC ending

No it was 8 years ago it's a fucking video game move on.

Only when I think about it. And with the franchise being dead for at least a couple more years, I don't think about it too often. I do wonder though how ever will they manage to fuck up the inevitable next entry.

>wanted to cash in with the IP as a yearly series.
Then why did they write the series into a complete dead end?

Not mad, just disappointed. EA has single-handedly killed more series and studios I like than every other publisher compined. Their insatiable desire to buy out successful franchises that have garnered good will, and then hastily churn out a heavily-monetized piece of shit sequel to make a quick buck offers a glimpse into the eventual heat-death of the medium as a whole.
Making games is an inherently expensive venture, and anyone that says their goal isn't to make money is being naive. But even if there are creative, driven individuals with a vision on the team who are trying to create something great, the publisher's need to make as much cash as possible with as little time and effort as possible will see those people chewed up and spat out. Capitalism is the death of creativity.

About 3? Fuck that, it's vomit on top of a turd. What I'm mad is about the turd that is 2.

nah, the game was good. fags only cry about le ending so they can have their weekly pseudo drama

Long term a Mass Effect Franchise that release a megahit every 4 years or so would make more than murdering a franchise of that caliber every few years. Its that EA is incompetent with too much money and no vision and should never be worked with by anyone again

The 1k hours spent in the multiplayer mode made me forget about all of its flaws.

Unironically yes. I get the urge to do a full series playthrough every once in a while and then I remember that I'll just be disappointed at the end of it.

ME3 now looks wonderful compared to ME4. Imagine how shit another trilogy would be if they made ME4-6.

No, but the love I had for the series is lost forever.

>this is where youre wrong. The target audience is children and the new gen of kids all have ADD. They jump one game to the next and dont care about story games at all anymore.

In todays world you just need to churn out a name brand and sell it every year. It will get bought regardless and it wont matter how bad it is, they already got your money.
