hibiki should actually have had survivors guilt and should have died at the end of season 1 (and chris too) leaving tsubasa all alone again, and that should have been the end of the franchise unless we had sequels with different protagonists, symphogear would have been AOTD but they fucked it up and pussied out

I don't remember having many problems with it. The bad guy crew was kinda weak, and they kinda glossed over the moon stuff pretty quick after hinting at it all series.
I liked 'em in the Arctic, and it concluded well enough. I don't know much else you could ask for.
What is weird is the first episode of each season was probably my favorite. I'd watch a series where they do various other missions that don't involve fighting the evil-squad of the week. Catching space shuttles and overthrowing dictators was way cooler, in my opinion.

Weak doesn't even begin to describe how bad the villains the plot were. How about the fact that it completely reset Bikis arc so she could be dumb and cause trouble for Miku, how about the endless pain parade for Tsubasa. How about the fact that Chris and the gaybies did absolute fuck all of anything. How about the fact that Fudo was completely undermined in one episode despite having multiple seasons of build up. How about as a series finale it gives no actual closure to any of the characters lives. How about the fact that girls are completely separated and don't feel close at all because every thing has to be done in pairs. Good fuck it wasn't even that long ago.

Symphonia is the moat popular and recognizable Tales of by virtue of being succesful in a Nintendo console. Arguably, Vesperia was the better game given time but being big and being pushed hard by Nintendo marketing at the time made Symphonia have slightly more mainstream recognition

lmao symphogear was always utter shit user, it was a big and preventable mistake on your part to actually expect something good, its just that season 1 had some interesting ideas that made the series tolerable and even entertaining, but it was shit none the less, you brought this disappointment upon yourself

They always seemed to reset arcs each season, so it didn't bother me specifically with 5. They always shat on Tsubasa despite her being the best girl. Hibiki always manages to be a retard again and again, so it wasn't that bad to me. I know that's not good, but it didn't get me in an uproar. Wasn't hyped about the ending that much either, the gay was the weakest part of Symphogear to me, so ending it with some Miku shit sucked. I think it's just coming down to our standards for anime differing. I'd never heard gaybies before though, that's hilarious.
Fuck you dude, I liked SG. Wish they'd hurry up and make an actual game for it. I'd play the shit out of an even mediocre SG action game.
Side note, are the Trails games worth playing? I've got In the Sky on my steam account, but I'm not trying to play 10 JRPG's just to get the whole plot.

The problem isn't the character arcs resetting, the problem is now they're damaged beyond repair and this is supposed to be the finale. This is how we send it off.

I guess I can see that getting you a little more rump-rustled than other seasons then. I watched all of it after the fact, waiting on a per-episode basis could have made the pain greater.
Call me a fag, but I think Symphogear shined the best when it wasn't focused on them fighting stuff. Fights just turn into flashing lights and screaming, so most of the memorable stuff was training montages or Chris eating like a retard. I would be hyped if they just did a 6th season that had little to no musical-combat in it.
