Still, the game cares about Ellie hiding her immunity with a tattoo because it is actually important. But for some reason selectively NOT to the people who knew about it.

Not quite. The game never makes it evident that Abby physically saw Ellie. She only hears about it. I think I remember a scene later when Abby even realized who Ellie is.

What happened to her father was completely justified. They knew there was next to no chance their 'vaccine' would happen but they went through with it anyway.
And on top of that, the dialogue in the end game that implies that Abby may be immune as well just shows that her father was a pathetic hypocrite. You can bet your ass the Firefly's had a way to check for immunity and you'd be a fucking idiot if you think he didn't know.

No, her dad was killed by a guy saving a girl. If Abby didn't care about a cure, from that perspective what Joel did was simply saving another human being which makes it selfless.

that's retarded headcanon given how the focal point of the ENTIRE franchise is Ellie's immunity. As I said the game logically treats Ellie's immunity as important, but it isn't selectively to the ONLY people that actually know about it.
