Many Western developers are explicitly told to not use "anime style" in making female characters because it goes against "realism".
Most Western games are military try-hard that take themselves too seriously. They want to be inclusive so women have started to be there too, but they can't be portrayed as Ada Wong o Claire.
Detroit become human as some pretty decent "normal" female characters.
