IV is my favorite Final Fantasy. I don't think it's the best game in the series, but it perfectly encapsulates everything I think about when I think "Final Fantasy game". It's classic, a nice middle ground that bridges the style of NES with those that came after.

Anything else is incorrect.

After playing it right and beating it I definitely agree with XV. The problem is that on release it really didn’t have all the stuff it should have had (like character swapping) and it also didn’t tell you the “right” way to play Noctis, so a lot of people including myself just tried to play it like an action game. As of the royal Edition I’d say the game was definitely an 8.5 and a wonderful game. It definitely has its flaws, but by the end I was very satisfied and even ready to play more.

I’m also sad now that Season 2 of the DLC was cancelled but I’m glad they at the very least got out everything that was planned for the main game.

Why don't you have Chrono trigger on the tier list. Chrono trigger is the best and it's the best final fantasy game

Its ok a good return to more normal ass fantasy rather than sci-fi fanasy but it has some sci-fi too. Also it goes back to the job system but you dont select the jobs its like FF4 more than anything else.

6, 10, 12 (if you understand them) have the best stories. And Tactics.

The story of both is deep as fuck for different reasons. 10 is metaphysical cycles and 12 is politics, warring empires and a nuclear bombs race.

I like 14 but why is it so high

There is animation cancels and complex combos and shit in XV but nobody gives a shit because
a) It does not tell you
b) The game is super easy in any difficultt anyway
c) We aren't speed runners

Supposedly using the Greatsword is for combo enders, using the sword or daggers is combo initiaton, spear is halfway through. Idk some shit like that... Also guns can be cool to use if you know how to use them but then again it's just for fun, the game is all too easy. Maybe with mods you can make it hard.
