Why would somebody spend close to $1500 after taxes for a graphics card? Are PC users this mentally ill?

Have you never witnessed 4k? Still playing on 1080p huh

That's old, you can pay 700 for a better card now.

Series x is 500 bucks and does 4k

PC gamers are autistic. They like to spend thousands on what is like a 20% increase in graphics quality when their platform has been dead for like two decades anyway.

If you're buying a 2080ti in current year then yes, you are mentally ill.

Because not everyone is a basement dwelling, welfare abusing concel neckbeard.

It does 4k at 30 or 60 + dips for select games.

You can buy a car, weed, sex and help childen in need for that kind of money, but you fat fucks use it to gaming, kill yourselves.

As a PC gamer even I can tell you anything about 1080p is meme marketing magic for consoomers.
Now high framerate is another story...

>muh graphics

End yourself zoomer scum.

>Not getting it for free
KWAB

It's literally called GRAPHICS card, fucking retarded monkey.

I don't know anybody IRL or online who has spent more than $500 for a new video card

I think it's all cryptofags

>Go to gaming forum and make fun of people for gaming
Ok

You can buy 4 PS4's and a bunch of games for that price.

2070 Super is literally still $900

This is somewhat true. 4k is a big step from 1440p which I assume you're trying to compare 1080p to (because if you did use 4k for a while you wouldn't have this opinion). It effectively eliminates the need for anti aliasing. If a game uses it well, it's more immersive as well. Also, fucking pretty sometimes.

But for most games it's not yet being fully taken advantage of. Which makes sense, since so far it's a niche resolution only being run by high end rigs. 3000 series will likely be the changeover point where more Devs are creating true 4k textures and worlds with that level of detail in mind.

The majority of pc gamers don't have Ti's. Especially from current generation. As a matter of fact, most of them don't even have higher end cards let alone TI's. You'll be surprised how little it takes to blow a console out the water.

Do PC gamers really...

Only retards or people with money to burn are buying 2000 series right now. Once availability comes back for 3000 series the last gen cards will be unsellable for 1/2 MSRP. People are already dumping them on the used market for about 2/3rd MSRP. I've seen some selling them with receipts/warranties at that price.

No, they don't. If you're going to bait at least use a Titan card, they're still like $2k.

Yeah... It does 4k for atleast half the price of pc. Thanks for telling me i am right

Yes after 10 years, consoles finally caught up lmao

Still much

PC users can justify it because they don't...you know...have to spend money on dates or anything, unlike us console chads, am i rite ? ;)

ahem

Gr8 b8 m8, r8 8/8. Would you prefer pc games be exclusive? Not sure what the benefit would be for anybody. Exclusives are cancer, let the best machine win. Right now that's legitimately looking like it's gonna be the sex, so even as a consolefag you should thank your lucky dildo that pc games keep getting ports.

PC WILL BE DOING 8K and 144+ FPS IN LESS THEN A YEAR WHILE CONSOlE FAGS ARE STILL AT THE FRONT DOORS OF 4K AND BARELY HITTING 60FPS!!! JAJAJAJAJAJAJA HAHAHA!!!!

Why do people shit on 1080p? If I'm sitting at a desk, I have a monitor literally right in front of my face. Why would I ever want to go higher? If anything, bigger resolutions are more relevant to the console kids because they generally play on big tvs.

Paid $500 for mine a while ago
Enrolled in EVGA's step up the last possible second thank God it went through
Now patently awaiting my 3080

Wtf Zig Forums?? You told me PC gaming is more expensive??

Attached: 0E326750-D97B-4735-970E-25C8B14D6673.jpg (1155x977, 152.99K)

Yup, still on 1080p confirmed. Anything and everything can play 1080p at 144fps.

4k monitors are pretty shit though and I'm not using a 50 inch tv

PC industry responded pretty much immediately to the console's new cheap performance with the new gpu lineups. It's still more expensive (always has been for price/performance as console launch: economy of scale and the efficiency you can build into a console makes that a foregone conclusion) but usually pc tech catches up within 2 years or less for the same price. People are already making "console killers" for not that much more expensive than the top consoles, though I wouldn't build one like that personally.

I'm very happy that consoles got better. They did it by basically being PCs. This was a huge boost to cross-platform play and stable ports, since most games are the same backend on any platform now. Microsoft's exclusives are going to be pc/Xbox. Win win for pc gamers.

What your retarded consolite brain doesn't understand is that a top of the line card will be good for at least 8 years while delivering much better graphics than consoles at much better framerates.
