How is Mass Effect 2 better than Mass Effect 1? ME has everything that 2 has and more.
How is Mass Effect 2 better than Mass Effect 1? ME has everything that 2 has and more
ME2 actually has non-jank shooting mechanics for one.
planet probing minigame was GOAT, fuck the exploration in 1
people who think this just want a shooter first and foremost
Cardboard cutout "characters" aren't good.
At least the planet driving was memorable, what even was that scanning thing in 2, i don't remember
kek
what a stupid opinion
>ammo
lolnope
>magazines and ammo
>terrible story
>terrible characters
1 is better than 2 in every way.
Dangerously based and truthpilled. ME1 autists are guaranteed to seethe over this
Better characters and combat but an overall weaker main story, still miles better than the original
snappier menus and shooting. Tighter narrative with hubs and driving the story forward efficiently instead of getting lost in admiral whoever the fuck emails going after copy pasted geth/cerberus bases to cheese the colossus with mako run overs
ME2 gameplay > ME1 gameplay
ME2 characters < ME1 characters
ME2 story < ME1 story
>More personal story with way more care given to character drama
>Presentation ramped up several notches: graphics are way better and cutscene cinematography is improved by miles with conversations feeling less stilted
>Much more polished gameplay across the board; shooting feels infinitely better, as does pretty much everything
>While it's missing an inventory system, no inventory system is arguably better than ME1's terrible, bloated, tedious mess
>While the vehicle sections are short, very linear, and DLC-only, they're still way better than ME1's janky ass tank sections
That's why.
Emphasis of characters over actual main plot, which makes sense when the entire game revolves around team combat.
Explain? I'm replaying ME1 right now and the only thing I'd complain about is the cover mechanics being shitty. The gunplay itself is solid. And using space wizardry is equally fun.
Also, Mass Effect 2 got rid of loot entirely instead of making it work
>everyone has daddy issues
>muh character drama
memorable for being tedious and boring in a different way doesn't make it better.
>start me2
>can't wait to continue my story
>the kill shep
>even worse they bring him back to life immediately
What a joke. They killed the franchise in the first 5 minutes of the second game.
Garrus's was the best
>cinematography
go watch a movie faggot
>Scifi game
>Does a cool Scifi thing
>"Ruined"
Filtered
>anything requiring thought is tedious
me2fags in a nutshell here
everything wrong with vidya
>Be a huge Tali fag
>Always my Geth killer in the group
>ME2 releases
>Tali doesn't have Overload her most damaging move anymore
>Has a useless drone instead
Fucking ME2.
>having well-directed cutscenes and natural looking conversations isn't important in a game with a very large amount of cutscenes and dialogue sequences
Nah
Yes magically solving death is so cool.

I find it funny how people claim that ME3 ruined the ending but they pull this shit. Or they made random terrorist sub-plot from the first game be the most important thing and central to the story and never try to bother in going in depth on how that makes any sense whatsoever.
Not to imply I hate the trilogy, I don't, but the story went full retard way before ME3 ever did and I'm not sure what what hardcore MEfags expected.
not when it comes at the cost of gutting gameplay elements
ME2 has way more quest content, the squad is twice as big, the story is longer, it has better DLCs, some classes like Vanguard got completely overhauled to be better etc.
You mean improving, 1 sucks ass gameplay wise
ME2's story is a side quest.
I don't think they cut the inventory system or the Mako sections just to make the cutscenes better user
>Filtered
kek, don't like X? filtered
A side quest that fundamentally alters the universe and the route the story would go in a big way by making Cerberus this super big and mysterious thing despite it making zero fucking sense.
The whole story got fucked when they forced them to be something way bigger then they should've.
>generic corridor shooter
>all rpg elements removed
>better than anything
