I still can't wrap my head around how the gacha mechanics work with the gameplay. From my limited experience with gacha games, they get very monotonous and repetitive after a certain threshold in playtime and progress, which is where automatic play comes into play for most gacha. I reckon this game doesn't have that, so how exactly do the developers intend to keep player retention for longevity? That's not even mentioning how P2W or F2P friendly it is, which is usually the former for most of the gachas I've tried.

Yeah the characters they give you as you play the early stuff aren't bad, the characters you get from gacha open up more options and combos though.

It's their anticheat as far as anyone can tell and after it started a panic they updated it to make sure it's completely removed if you uninstall.

i got her pretty early in my game so i decided to use her, especially since i kept hearing how shes "top tier".

am i playing her wrong or something because shes fucking terrible. am i using her bear thing right because most of the time it doesnt hit anything which means its hard for me to set any enemies on fire.

mind you, i only have like 3 hours of game time so far. so im sure im missing something here.

The artifacts really make or break the character. I have her high crit and she melts people with just her spear

They fixed it I guess(unless you are completely against kernel anti-cheat that a bunch of games use). The way it was before it started when you started the game, but kept running even if you close the game(but did close if you restarted you PC). Now it starts with the game, but stops and uninstalls itself(as a running service, the files are still on your PC for the next game launch) when you close the game.

You're missing that literally all content in the game can be cleared with free units, and combat is 3 buttons which is more than BOTW's one button.
