Play Battle Cats. It has actually fun stages, is pro-f2p (or more like sadistic towards whales) and you can track your seed, eliminating most of the randomness from the gacha aspect.
No focus on anime waifus though, if that's your thing. I mean some girls are there, but they don't have voices or dating cutscenes or anything like that.

well fgo has some great boss battles and challenge quests, but whatever you do dont fall for chinese games with cute girls because all of them have trash autoplay gameplay

Of the ones I've played, Dragalia Lost and SMT Liberation are the best simply because I never felt like I had to spend money. Dragalia also has actual gameplay which is rather nice and SMT is basically just battles using the press turn system found in the main games which is already nearly perfect in my opinion.
