I'm playing Okami, and I'm at the Ark of Yamoto I've been told it's the point of no return, so I assume it's end game once I cross the rainbow The thing is, there's loads of things in the travel guide I've not unlocked, tech I still don't have and other things missing. But when I think back, there's only 1 side quest I haven't done. Is this normal or do I have to go look through the game world again? Don't want to use a guide or look anything up hence asking your good selves
a lot of shit is pretty well hidden, that game has fuck huge amounts of side content, you need to be more specific user

So, this isn't normal? By this point I should have most everything then, yeah? I know a lot of it seems hidden, but I genuinely did feel like I've done a lot of it. I've had a genuine blast with this game so if there's more that's great. The one side quest I haven't done is the bomb guy, I'm not entirely sure on what to do there but don't want to look it up Also to confirm. this is end game right?
Thanks for the responses.
Ryder Green
>So, this isn't normal? By this point I should have most everything then, yeah? It really depends on how much exploration you do. The stuff like fishing and running minigames, exorcising demonic areas, healing plants, feeding animals... et cetera, all ad up to a notable amount of side content.
Jose Evans
>this is end game right? yeah, you won't be able to head back afterwards
Kevin Cruz
Thank you, I won't cross the line then To clarify, all the menu entries should be filled too, yeah? I just heard about some stuff being in NG+ I've done a lot, fed every animal I saw, healed plants I saw, but there are some not 100% In my stray bread collection, I'm missing around 20, but I am going to re explore the map now.
I don't really want to use a guide, any idea where I can go for pointers and tips on just where to look for this stuff?
One thing I do know is I haven't been able to break the purple rocks hiding treasures, and I haven't got every fish. I guess I need to fish, but shit that's the one dull thing about the game. I don't care about using a guide for that, do you guys know any tips for getting them all quickly or is it just pot luck?
Nathaniel Gomez
>any idea where I can go for pointers and tips on just where to look for this stuff? The towns generally have tons of shit to do. Even the starting village. If you see people running around on the fields, or fishing at the ponds, you can bet your butt that there's a mini game waiting for you. It's been a while for me, but I also recall there being that pack of heroic dogs, the ball-loving bears, and the traveler statues across the land.
Ryan Nelson
Thanks, I'll be giving it a once over. I do feel like I've done a lot of that. The ball loving bear is interesting because I found 2 balls but couldn't find any more for him in Agata Forest, so I'll definitely have to check there. Is any content missable? I think I have missed some stuff almost certainly because shit like the moon have disappeared and I didn't expect that Also before jumping into the emperor's body, there was a chest on the roof above that I didn't get to And any fishing tips to get it over and done with quickly?
Thanks a lot by the way, I'm currently playing so this saves me aimlessly wondering and stuff
Jayden Bell
Oh yeah you're pretty much done with the story, but there Is no way for us to tell how much actual completion you have, likes did you get all the stray beads? Every technique? Every weapon? Celestial brush techniques? Again, the game is packed with shit to do
Jace Garcia
Celestial Brush yes Stray beads around 19 missing Now you mention it I'm missing the final beads weapon As I said I will have a once over of the world , , but essentially I just felt like I did most things but clearly that isn't the case and I'm glad you guys cleared it up. I just wonder where I should look because I feel mostly accomplished when I go round the hubs. For instance, don't want to admit it but it took me far too long to find the final cherry blossom tree to bloom in the City. It got to the point I thought the game might be bugged so while I was searching I accidentally saw it was on top of his head
Currently trying to figure out the bomb guy, Tama. Thanks for the help lads, it's good to know there's more to do
Nicholas Wilson
My travel guide is missing entry 22, 23, 26, 28 and 30
Jackson Hill
NG+ exists, I usually don't worry about anything until then.
Oliver Cox
Hmm, with NG+, would I have to redo all the side quests, or does everything stay as is?
Grayson Scott
you have to redo them but youll know where everything is and guides are even more helpful
Juan Parker
Stolen from reddit >There isn't much difference. Your bestiary and animal/fish tomes carry over, as does your stray beads, your karmic transformers, and all weapons (and their upgrades) aside from the 3 elemental ones you got at the end of the game. A few holy artifacts (I think that's what they are called) carry over, like Peace Bell and Golden Ink Pot, but ones like the lava and water tablets do not. Overall, new game+ is simply to finish the game; get the rest of the animals and stray beads and whatnot, while giving you your previous equipment to make it a bit easier. And yes, you will be able to unlock the other skins.
But keep in mind you can skip most cutscenes, so ng+ is a way shorter run. Still I personally would do it now before the the ark and don't do a ng+.
Evan Fisher
The game has a ton of content. You can journey around to find it at your own leisure. There are also three enemy gauntlets scattered throughout the world, with the toughest one being in Kamui. You need to beat some mini-bosses similar to the Spider Queen in those holes first though, IIRC.
she's in teppen now if any of ya'll play that game
Jacob Smith
After the first scripted one I never stumbled into a monster from the wanted lists. Sure the night is short unless you manipulate time every dawn, but are they hidden?
Mason Smith
Ah I don't feel like redoing everything desu I think I'll do it on this run. It's just too much and my save is already 65 hours+ since I've been enjoying it
I haven't seen a single gauntlet I have fought those mini bosses though, do I just jump back in the hole?
Oh I've also just remembered I have to make an offering in that underground pond. Is that a joke or is there an actual quest there? I burnt money
They're not hidden, you just bump into them. I think they might be in specific locations but I'm not sure. What I did was keep it night and beat up on every enemy spot in the area. You can do them all in one go that way. You must've avoided fighting at night if you didn't bump into a single one
Jeremiah Kelly
The offerings upgrade your brush techniques. Just spend one or two times the biggest amount and then the smallest one to no waste too much money, the game tells you when it's enough.
Hudson Wilson
Well that makes a lot of sense I'm heading there now thangs
Need money for the damn final brown fury technique from the dojo
Julian Turner
Don't know what's it's called in english but the third level for the cutting brush technique cost 380k iirc, the other ones are somewhere between 100k to 300k.
Michael Rivera
I'm gonna need some more money
Caleb Johnson
One of the yen fountains offers Power Slash upgrades that let you slash through major rocks. I think that can let you access a lot more secrets too. If I recall right, there's another fountain that lets you upgrade your digging ability, though that might be an upgrade from the dojo. Another fountain lets you have up to three bombs out at a time, which might be the key to breaking the glowing cracks in the ground (if it's not the bombs, then it's the advanced digging techniques).
Also, the O-button techniques at the Dojo just exist for getting demon fangs more quickly. If anything, they're gross to punish you for your greed, as they're the only things in the entire game that require the wallet upgrades.
Elijah Reed
>Is any content missable? Fire Doom Mirror in the bestiary. It is in one of the fights just before you enter the Emperor.
Nolan Ross
I've been farming demon fangs anyway, I have like 600 but since the Emperor I've not seen anywhere to spend them The only reason I'd like the technique is just for completion Thanks for the mentions on the upgrades. I've only seen 2 fountains, so seems there's a lot to look out for despite me thinking I've seen anything. Maybe at some point I will fall back on a guide because I felt like I did double check a lot of these areas. Stuff like the gauntlet I've never even seen
I looked through my bestiary and have it. Thank goodness
Nothing other than that? That's great I really have been blown away by just how good this damn game is. I'm not even a nostalgiafag, it's my first time playing and there's just so much that's so enjoyable about it.
Connor Foster
I think you just jump back in the mini-boss spider pits to reach the gauntlets, by the way. I think they're great for getting money too, which can help with the fountains. If you already have a good amount of money, the emperor's trade item that heals you for standing in place (as long as you have cash) can be great.
Juan Butler
Thank you Now I'll have to find all the spider pits again I could've sworn I already jumped back in one once and nothing happened
Another thanks to everyone in the thread who helped. This is all exactly the kind of information I was after and has helped a lot without spoiling anything for me
Luke Brooks
>tfw I was going to platinum on my first play through but fucked up getting away from the water dragon
Jaxon Wilson
OP here I haven't looked at the trophy list That's a requirement? I think I got hit by the dragon 10 times because I was retarded and didn't talk to Orca before I went off trying to explore every island through my lilipads alone Guess another playthrough might be in the books
