Is it just me or is SS4 on Serious WAY easier than the previous games? Like even without abusing the overpowered as fuck gadgets the game feels a lot easier than previous Sam games, Maybe I just got better but idk.

This is so wrong. How can you possibly post such bullshit? BFE was good but rushed. With modding it becomes an even better experience. The BFE extended mod + no reloading mod puts the game just behind TFE/TSE.
I don't know how Croteam fucked up SS4 so bad. The game was playtested by people from the community. Some of these guys even helped work on the mods that made BFE into a better game. How did they not think to tell Croteam about all the garbage shit in 4??

The difficulty in 4 is all over the place because of duel wielding, gadgets and NPC partners.

I'm loving 4 even more now that they patched all the graphic issues out, game feels like a more lively and polished 3 and thats good, this is classic sam

The gadgets are a cool idea but there are way too many of them for how powerful they are, the game is a joke if you freely abuse them.
Dual wielding is pretty situational I didn't find myself using it that much except for the shotguns, it's mostly useful in the really cramped arenas where the accuracy penalty of two Miniguns isn't a big deal.

I like dual wielding but it's be harder to balance an encounter when you don't know if the player is going to be using 2xMiniguns to mow down enemies. Make it too hard and a perk meta becomes necessary, make it too easy and it's not serious enough.
There are wayyy too many gadgets and when used they trivialize encounters. The black hole is a great example.
NPCs don't make a huge difference but they do kill some enemies.
Also the enemy placements in 4 are spaced out a lot more. In previous games you have a steady flow of enemies, sometimes just a small number to keep you busy between rooms or corridors. In 4 most enemies only spawn in open rooms/spaces, you don't have the same constant flow.

Gadgets aren't so bad in the final two levels because pretty much all you can get is drones/rage serum and those aren't so broken maybe black holes and shit cause issues with the legion enemies and thats why the gadget selection is samller there but yeah the rest of the game gadgets are busted.

First half the game is still awful. The amount of hit scan is still awful. And its grey/brown forever is still awful. And like 3 the forced weapon reset levels are also awful.

Solid game though but i don't think its misunderstood its the weakest mainline Sam game even with 4s issues. Last level is pure kino though what 11k enemies or something?
