Here in Mexico there is a lot of hate towards Asia as everything is perceived to be Chinese and thus of low quality, also there's a lot of hate towards otaku and "weebs" and people literally buy xbox because they don't want to be seen as "that weirdo who plays the Chinese games on a Chinese console". There's that and the fact that xbox does have more "masculine" games with guns, blood and sports and less Asian games with fantasy amd femininity

also mexicans are way more social by hanging out in groups. once xbox was part of their culture, no one wanted to be left behind so everyone got the same system as their group. its near impossible for PS to penetrate that market at this point. microsoft made the right moves at the right times to take over mexico.
