The only thing that could make me care about a mineman update is some kind of improvement for modding, and backwards compat with previous versions' mods. It is literally impossible for the base game to add more/better content than mods, and every update breaks all the mods, so every update just subtracts from playable content. It's so retarded. Iceologers don't fly and auto spawn if you don't sleep. Illagers are already semi rare.

If this is like the last big updates (Ocean, Nether), I don't think they'll start coming until we're 2-3 months away from the release.
