I hate that CDPR have become the same kind of evil motherfuckers as everybody else.

corporations are always soulless and money grubbing, you've just been too retarded to see it before.
Their entire founding principles are no DRM and no microtransactions. They upheld those principles diligently for over a decade. Then they went "lol oopsie :^)"
it was obvious this was gonna happen once they introduced GOG galaxy and made some games features require it. funny thing is many singleplayer EPIC launcher games dont have DRM
So what exactly is going on here? Some kind of partnership with Epic Games that involves GOG games having DRM?
nah, you were just retarded thinking that a corporation's word means anything.
You can launch your Epic Store games in Galaxy.
but you also need to still have EGS installed to do it
You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the enemy.
That's not new, though. That's basically what GOG Galaxy 2.0 does for various stores.
I looked it up, and the new feature is that you can buy games from EGS through the Galaxy client or something.
Yes? It's an Epic Store game, not a GOG game.
All galaxy wants to do is organize all of your games from all of your stores into one launcher, sort of like how you can add some non-Steam games to Steam.
I don't understand, what you guys are talking about.
Isn't Galaxy the fully optional (as in, you can download your games from their site and play, never having to install it) client, which you can use to log into different stores (like Steam, Epic, GOG) to keep your friends and games in one place?
GOG is selling EGS games in their Galaxy client which have DRM. That goes against their DRM free platform and makes them look like hypocrites.
their users literally asked them repeatedly to do this you mong
They should ask them to require Facebook logins too.
Are you not very smart?
I don't see the issue here.
Games on the GOG store don't have DRM.
All you're doing is using a different client to access the Epic store.
You can use Galaxy to buy on EGS, yes. Just like you can use Firefox or Opera to do it. It pretty much works like a browser.
>Pays employees overtime and makes them work reasonable hours to finish a several year project that's been delayed several times
WAAAHHHH CORPORATION BADD
GoG gives out a lot of games for free that require you to run them through galaxy, which is annoying
Yes, there was massive grassroots demand for this lole
why is it so hard for gamers to click on a shortcut to launch a game then close the launcher when they're done playing?
why is it so hard for developers to sell me a product and not a service
It's actually worse than that. Epic obviously gave GOG some money to shill their store.
I like how somebody says "GOG are cunts now" and somebody else replies "Ackshually technically if you look at it from this angle they didn't violate the LETTER of the claim only the SPIRIT of it" as if that doesn't just prove they are mega giga-cunts now.
Did they also give money to google and mozilla?
>galaxy 2
>its a client manager for game clients
>they work with epic games to make the two clients works together better
OP is not only gay, but also retarded.
The fuck are you talking about do you see the difference between a shop and a client?
if it was steam you wouldn't be complaining
that's what happens when you let amerimutts run a polish company
This didn't affect any other games on the store. You can still pirate them DRMless just fine.
EPIC moneyhatted them to let their games be sold on the gog store. you dont have to buy them on there. i do admit that it was stupid on CD projekt's part though and i hope they dont do anything like this again in the future.
Some retards will take this bait.
Non-GOG games have no right to be on GOG, because the only thing GOG has ever been good for is modern fixes for retro games. You add retro games not featured on GOG from other stores, and you hit a fantastic roadblock from a support standpoint, where now you have to deal with even more support issues because your team didn't personally patch up the game.
Even if all GOG does is steal community patches and apply them for you.
What epic store games?
Did they fix Metal Gear Solid 2?
If it were Steam, there would be no contradiction because Steam never claimed to be a DRM-free store.
They're still offering the same service as they did before asstard. This is an additional service on top of that that you don't need to use.
Complain about the regional pricing instead, something actually valid that every GOG fanboy seems to have miraculously forgotten.
I mean if it was steam store integration to gog
Nope. Konami just handed it to them as is, and they threw on a compatibility patch. Analog controls are fucked on modern controllers, existing bugs from the initial PC release are still there, etc.
Ok just to clear things. You CAN NOT buy epic games' games on GOG that would be completely retarded. You can buy them through galaxy client if you connect your EGS account but you still buy them on EGS.
tl;dr OP is a fagget.
>You literally have to be a faggot and have the faggot thing to do the faggot thing.
>user gets mad about it.
Are you surprised?
>using a launcher to launch a launcher
so this is the power of the next gen
whats the problem. the whole point of gog is to have all your games in one place
No? You don't HAVE to do all these things. You CAN but it's your choice. I didn't even connect my galaxy to other accounts and use it purely for cloud saves.
Welcome to 2011.
