I dunno man. The "asshole protags grows over time" is my favorite kinda RPG hero. Like Hazel from .hack//GU or Luke from Tales of Abyss. I think you can do it better than the writers in YIIK did.

Art is whatever you find amusing, hell there’s an old hag out there that filmed herself being fisted by her friend while wearing a kermit costume and passed the movie as “art”, it’s a matter of perspective of the audience and you can’t force people to like it or not, that being said, I didn’t enjoy the game and that would’ve been it but when the dumbass went out of its way to spew shit in social media about how everyone who didn’t like the game was somehow an inferior human being that those who enjoyed it (I think his mother and... yeah) that’s when he deserves all the shitposting from this forsaken community
