By what metric? The only thing that's certain is that punching Mario after 3 seconds of trjectory still has enough forces to break through blocks when even the most efficant Diamond Pickaxe Steve can use still takes longer to do despite that. The only mob in Minecraft that can break brocks instantly is the Ender Dragon and the Wither.
Both of which cannot instant kill steve unless he has no armor on at all, which I still think isn't a OHKO, more like 4/5th of his health gone.
Compared to the many other characters that can kill gods, Sonic in this universe is far from the peak strongest. Ridley is likely more powerful just head on fighting the Ender Dragon considering Samus can't even kill his ass proper most of the time.
