Dude, Terraria genuinely its worth putting 500 hours more then you ever did playing Minecraft. Terraria is ungodly good and if you say it is bad then your words are only deemed wrong by your peers.

Crazy how long Minecraft has been around but it is only just now getting any degree of variety in its content.

Literally everything in minecraft is 'fucking useless' because the game doesn't have a set singular goal or purpose. Shit like ender dragon is optional and the game doesn't 'end' after it. Copper is a decorative block.

It's a decent building block at least. What I really don't get are those rare crystals that do nothing but make a telescope. Maybe there'll be more to the update

I just want the beta/alpha worldgen.
And then xbox hueg content expansions out the ass as much as Terraria got.
Then I'll be happy.

Because terraria has a shitton of unique items and mechanics to pull from and a lot of recongizable items that would make for an interesting character. I don't know how they'd do the sprites for a terrarian, making a 'realistic' looking terrarian would be weird, but if they pull it off right I think it would be really cool.
I also think the playstyle of Terraria would translate well to Smash considering it's also a 2d platformer where mobility/dodging gets to be the only way you survive encounters and is usually the deciding factor in fights.

Realistically I don't see it happening because making the model of a sprite from Terraria would be weird, the default terrarian isn't nearly as recongizable as Steve and just doing the guide or some shit would be really weird. They'd end up having to dump a lot of effort into making multiple armor sets.
