FFX made me cry for a blonde fucking loser who spent an entire game trying to go back and when he finally found something that made him want to stay he found out he couldn't.
The only thing FFXIII made me feel was mild disgust.

I remember a couple friends raving about it after it just came out and I thought I had to play it but there was no way I'd be able to have my parents spend 50 on it. Luckily I found it for 10 at a pawnshop my step dad used to frequent in mint condition.

X has a fun battle system, the sphere grid is great, and while it's a hallway there is a thematic reason for it because the game is a death march. The story is simple to understand and told in a traditional fashion where Tidus asks dumb questions and everyone dumps exposition.

XIII gas a terrible combat system, the knock off sphere grid is not fun or rewarding to use, the maps are just boring and samey, and you need to spend hours in the menu to understand even the basics story and world.

FFX has stuff to do in the hallways. FFXIII does not. That is all.

But what do they have in common other than being a straight line all the way until the end just like XIII which was XIII's biggest complaint?
