I still have my original fat 3DS, can I do it with that?

pretty much, all you're missing is some extra power for homebrew/emulation and two or three n3ds exclusives.

I have 2 new 3ds XLs and 2 new 3ds LLs. I'm wondering if it's worth grabbing a 2ds XL to round out the collection, but I've heard they have shitty build quality and I'm inclined to not care about muh collecting since there's so many different editions and versions of 3ds anyways.

Can you get IPS screen 2ds XLs? I'd probably buy one if I could guarantee the screens were dual IPS.

Of course.

Yeah. I used 3ds.guide if that website still works.
Just need a big enough SD card and a PC.

If you mean the 3DS XL that's not the New 3DS moniker/model, then yes, Every model of 3DS is hackable, the only thing you ened to make sure of is the firmware your system is on and the partition of the SD card you're using. Once you get everything set-up and figured out, it's just a matter of moving files to and from your 3DS and PC by following a step-by-step guide. It's pretty retard proof.

n3ds, n3ds xl or n2ds xl?

I'm too poor to buy a 3ds in the first place.

i hacked my 3ds but all the games on here fucking suck, just upgrade to a switch and just hack that

Yes but new 3ds is much better for emulation.

n3ds = new3ds XL > n2ds xl

n3ds vs n3ds XL is personal preference, I play 3ds games on the XL and ds games on the regular n3ds. N2ds XL is plasticky and has a loose hinge (also speakers are retarded if you don't use headphones). You can probably find the latter for cheaper and/or newer than the 3d versions though.

if you're a burger you could have gotten a brand new new 2ds for $99 but that ended a while ago

N2ds XL is the only model that fixed the design flaw of the bottom screen ridges scratching the top screen.

All models on the latest firmware can be hacked entirely through software. Highly recommend 3ds.hacks.guide/

Are you sure? I thought that was only a regular new3ds thing. My new3ds XL that I've owned for 4 years doesn't have top screen scratches.

They've fixed that flaw since O3DS XL. The only 3DS to have the ridge/thumb-pad smudge design flaw are the pre-XL launch 3DS's.

Shit, depending on the total cost I migh just try to get lucky on facebook market or wallapop( widely used second hand sellers app from my country )

It was improved in later models but it still happens if there's anything like dust between the ridge and the top screen. N2DS is the only model that removes the problem entirely.

I don't understand this step for getting DS widescreen steps

Recently hacked my 3ds, what are some good homebrew and hidden gems?

someone buy one for me, a 2ds. ill post receipt in thread.
save me from playing gba games on phone screen.

the delivery price fucks you over, thats for sure.
i really want a 3ds xl, i got a 2ds xl, and im wondering if the 3D effect is worth it.

Are these refurbished models viable? Are they better than trying to get lucky with a second hand one?

These threads have inspired me to go out on a quest and hack my vita and 3ds thank you all!

Most of the time, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a brand new console and a refurbished one. Waaaay better than trying for a second hand one.

I did all the hacking and ricing then ended up playing only one game on it before shelving it. Really, truly a nogaems machine.

It depends on the game. The 3D effect will sometimes add a sharpening filter as well as layer text, making things easier to read. Other games will really make the design pop and you can tell when a game was designed to take advantage of the 3D effect with it on, making it easier to play or adding that extra "cool" factor to the gameplay. Overall I wouldn't say it's necessary but it can definitely add to the experience when applied appropriately, because there are certain games where the 3D effect is so bad it's better to just play it in 2D.

i hardly ever used it on my old 3ds. it's neat but it's just a novelty. it made some games look worse, the jaggies in fire emblem awakening are really noticeable with 3d on.

Before I request a quote to Big Apple Buddy, how much do you think the total shippement would cost for sending it to Spain?

any cool smash 4 mods?

I figured it out. Now where is TWiLight Menu++ settings? I can't find it.

Just put Sonic Robo Blast 2 on mine last night.
