He has one line of dialog in Pokémon Masters. The player ends up in a conversation with him and some other guy, and they're talking about how Red is so silent all the time. Then all of the sudden Red says "...Words are unnecessary." And then goes back to being silent again.

Peggy Hill I actually liked ever since the Penis episode. When I was younger I had a hard time enjoying characters that have lots of cringe moments like Doug but Peggy I got over fast. Doug still irks the shit outta me idk why he suck a fucking simp I guess. Skeeter was the man tho.

People just latch on to Gary's characterisation from the anime and assume that's what Blue is about too (pompous jerk, kind of distant from the protagonist in all aspects... at least until the later anime seasons retconned him and Ash into being childhood friends all along). Blue engages in flippant banter, too, but you can still tell he's being friendly with you. He acts as your foil, as while the player travels around Kanto experiencing all kinds of things the world has to offer and becoming stronger for it, Blue cannot see the forest for the trees and only focuses on becoming a stronger trainer. Then he ultimately loses the champion's seat and even his grandfather berates him and celebrates his friend's victory instead. So ends the player's journey, while Blue's development as a character begins; he picks himself back up and becomes Kanto's strongest gym leader and a more well-rounded person overall.

You'd expect Red to be silent when you first meet him because that encounter needed no words. He conquered everything and went to Mt. Silver, the most brutal and deadly place, to seek more power. He probably felt empty when he reached the top thinking he's the only strongest trainer ever lived and also probably thinking of quitting because there's nothing left, but when he saw you, he realized there's stronger trainers out there, and when you defeat him, he disappears to go train more.
You were probably his motive to go on adventures.

I wanted to see him in most brutal places in other regions, but GF messed it up.
