Sounds like you haven't gotten good boons with it. It's best to start off with wine man since his poison stacks up to 5 times and the fists stack it to max instantly.

At low heat sure, you can beat hades. But it's just not a good weapon. The penalty is too harsh and it gimps your moveset too much for the mediocre lifesteal to be any decent. At least that's my take on it. Just use the usual high damage boons like Aphrodite. Actually you should probably aim for her or Athena just so you don't fucking die because it halves your health, although since you're not upgrading it you're stuck with fucking 30 at base(assuming you have the health booster unlocked) and you'll be getting jack shit from health upgrades. Don't worry too much about it since it sounds like you just want to beat the prophecy, which doesn't require you to actually beat hades with it, just reach him.

A pc is not only superior to a console for games, it's you know... a fucking pc. which means you can do anything on it. not to mention a pc can emulate games and you can pirate games too. what kind of fucking retard would get a console?

only have to get hades to achieve those 'reach the surface with' prophecies, so go for survivability. dunno if it works with the spin attack, but athena's deflect might help cheese those bullet hell rooms
