Literally fucking when?
Also, what are your hopes/expectations?

I wish Link's glowing arm will give him new combat and traversal abilities. Make it like the hookshot or devil bringer.

Whenever the new switch releases next year. More durable weapons ffs

> expectations
Nu-Ganondorf, some gameplay mechanic involving Zelda (similarly to Spirit Tracks), return of themed dungeons, bosses that aren't just Ganon blights, no more Blood Moons, a more straightforward plot without the memory system. Breakable weapons still in, shrines still in, and some other thing you probably didn't like in BotW still in.

Actual flight mechanism.
Hookshot.
Large interior areas/dungeons.
Ability to submerge in water.

I only want one thing: playable zelda.

More gay doujins

Well, the game will obviously focus on the stuff from 10,000 years ago because the calamity and stuff is already wrapped up and AoC will give more lore to it.

I'm expecting playable Zelda only during specific puzzle segments using the slate runes for puzzles and maybe combat.

The overworld will be recycled obviously, but it'll have some differences/edits for sure. A bit different landmarks and so.

They're probably done with shrines because lorewise it makes no sense for Link to do them again, so most likely means a bigger focus on dungeons and hopefully keeping the good puzzles in BotW.

It will still follow the same design philosophy of BotW of letting you tackle stuff in any order and playing the game at your own pace.
Wouldn't be surprised if you can also go straight to the boss after the tutorial segment again. They're not going to make the game linear.

I just really, really hope they don't go with time travel shit. I'm fucking sick of time traveling in Zelda.

Realistically we won't hear anything until probably e3 next year. That e3 is going to be wild. Bayo3, Prime4, and BotW2. Not to mention it's also pokemons 25th anniversary or some shit.

Blood moons pretty much have to be in. It's a RAM issue

>expecting a mainline Zelda game to ever release on time

Expect 2022 release.

first game was fucking amazing to me
hopes:
>they ramp up combat somehow. add another button for different weapons or powers idk
>add a rope to let you ascend from cliffs you jump down from
>add actual cave structures and dungeons
>more linear sections like yiga hideout and such

>I'm fucking sick of time traveling in Zelda.
Only the Hero of Time games, and Oracle of Ages, involve time travel though. We haven't had one in a long time.

How so? Wasn't the Blood Moon a Calamity Ganon issue?

Did you forget Skyward Sword?

bros, should i buy the botw dlc or buy new switch game?

>burns your retinas even with a screenshot

How people actually played this game is beyond me

just pirate BotW, holy shit it's been 3.5 years and CEMU works perfectly

Storywise, yes, but it was also so the game could refresh it's cache to keep from having to remember every defeated enemy, chopped tree, etc.

She's going to be playable in the Age of Calamity prequal, so now she's guaranteed playable in the sequel.

They're giving players a taste of playable Zelda, so now they have no reason not to have her playable in BoTW 2.

Yea I completely forgot. It didn't feel like a major aspect of the story/gameplay though.

How did young Impa and old Impa co-existing not create a time paradox?

BotW was delayed because the Wii U flopped and they had to salvage the game by any means by porting it to Switch.

This game isn't made from scratch. 70% of it was already done when they said "hey let's make a sequel"

I hope it works like these old concepts where it can morph in to various weapons/gadgets. Give Zelda the Sheikah Slate and Link can get all the cool new arm shit.

the dlc is pretty good imo.
get master trials for combat, champions ballad for exploration/character development and a kino boss
its like half the price of a new switch game

Just give me some good dungeons with varied aesthetics. Dorf coming back is a good enough excuse for big holes or cracks to form throughout the region that could have more classic Zelda dungeons that have been hidden away for who knows how long.

It started out development as a big DLC expansion for the first one right? It really shouldn't take that long for this to come out unless they're doing something ridiculous like changing up the whole map.

Zelda having short hair out of nowhere pretty much confirms that she'll be playable

>Large interior areas/dungeons.
Just want this

I hope they remove all the useless shrines and just make some real puzzle dungeons, with unique bosses. The ballad of champions dungeon was a good start.

I think part of it is rebuilding the engine to work more efficiently on the Switch since it was originally built for the Wii U.

It better,because she looks awful

Their largest chunk of their development during BotW was the engine and the overworld. They already have them so the rest is being focused on other stuff.
Like I said, they won't keep the overworld LITERALLY the same. It will have more stuff in it. Reconstruction of central Hyrule too and cleaning up all the leftovers of the calamity.

I hope they do both, the best part of shrines was breaking them.

>some real puzzle dungeons
But shrines have 100 times better puzzles than previous 3D game dungeons.
I understand not wanting shrines, but leave the puzzles alone. They're by far the best this franchise has offered. They don't hold your hand and you can be creative with them.

That's a very nice picture of my wife

Oh that'd be nice, didn't consider that.

Yeah that's about what I'm assuming they'll do too. It'd be nice if they had a much longer story since they don't have to devote nearly as much time to building shit from the ground up.

>hopes/expectations
Exploration in BOTW was fucking sick, but the one big issue I had is everything was very surface-level. Bunch of cool hills and mountains and valleys, but that's about it. It was extremely wide, but there isn't that much depth. There are no big caves or tunnels to explore, you can only swim on the surface, it's impossible to dive underwater. You find cool ruins, but they're mostly facades. Biggest example being the Forgotten Temple, I was expecting some really cool ancient temple to explore, and then it's just one big room with guardians and shrine at the end. This to me is the one thing I want most. Stuff like more enemy variety and bigger/more large-scale temples like the Divine Beasts (but longer and more themed) are of course cool too, but exploration and discovery is the biggest draw for me, so give me more of that first and foremost.

> shorter hair to make her animations easier to develop
> Aonuma teasing playable Zelda
> Zelda clearly on an adventure in the teaser
It's happening
