This. Casting otherwise was pretty shit. It could have been overcome though, if the writing of the show was decent. The flow of the series was nonexistent, jumping back and forth across large chunks of time without always making that clear. Also whoever managed to convince the entire production team to OK the Nilfgaardian scrotum armor is a fucking madman, I'm not even angry.

I watched this show literally for Cavil's Geralt. It was very well done, nothing else about the show was. Ciri, Dandelion, and Renfri were well casted too now that I think about it, but I can't recall any others I really liked. Maybe Foltest, but I feel like that wasn't a difficult role to fill as he was used in the show.

Ciri's actress lusting after Cavil is a fun meme to observe too.
