Exactly what I'm talking about, that sounds comfy as hell and I'd still have my desk for when I need it for RTS, FPS, etc.

apart from the refresh rate and response time being garbage, this is acceptable for most situations outside of FPS twitch shooters.

I bought a recliner and nice entertainment center, setup my PC there and it was the best decision I ever made.
Imagine sitting at a desk for 8 hours at work just to come home and sit at another desk to be reminded of work.

playing on a couch is pretty sweet, but idk of TVs above 60hz. so you'll probably need a couch very close to a monitor to be able to sit on a couch and see anything

There are plenty of TVs advertised as 120hz, but idk if that's real or interpolation bullshit.

I play EVERYTHING on the couch. I use a wireless media keyboard and an armrest mousepad. I might pull out the gamepad like once every 3 months. Usually I forget it's there.

It would be easier than getting in and out of a fucking lazyboy at a desk. I had that set up for a while when I was younger. I'd have to hop over the armrest like I was getting into a stock car that didn't have opening doors.

If office chairs were as comfortable as couches, everyone would have them lining their living rooms.

Sofas are required to have a back and armrests. Couches can just be benches, as long as they're multi-person and upholstered.

PC + sofa is exceptionally based for RPGs

The major weakness is that TVs don't tend to have good refresh rates unless you pay a huge premium, so it's not suitable for FPSs or anything ultra fast-paced where milliseconds count.

The biggest weakness is resolution and distance. Reading tiny 1440p text from 10ft away, even on a 55"+ TV, is really hard on the eyes. I have my windows scaled to 150% and stay at 1080p just so I can read shit.

You need to let go of your autistic minmaxing for maximum graphics and Fps if you ever Want to have fun user. I enjoy every game I play on console, all my friends have it so we just party up and game.

shudder when panning a camera sucks. at best, it makes whatever you;re panning to unclear until you stop. at worst, it's nauseating while your brain tries to process this unsmooth transitioning
