download the launcher, make a new installation and scroll down to the alpha versions or something like that. remember to check any box that says "show alpha/beta version".
if that doesn't work, download sponge launcher, it has the old gui.

Go to the launcher and enable alphas and betas. You have access all the way back to Alpha 1.0.0
Skins and authentication are handled by Mojang's servers and they dropped support for the old versions a while back. It's why you can't play old servers with anti-piracy anymore.

It doesn't have Beta, Infdev, first versions of Minecraft and possibly Alpha (why i asked OP to download sponge launcher, in case the current launcher doesn't provide it.)

I can't find Alpha 1.0.0 on the launcher, although the wiki says it's there.
1.0.4 is on there though and that will likely give a very similar experience.
remember to check historical on the launcher to gain access to previous versions!
