Melee is a multiplayer children's party game. Creativity and exploit abuse must be limited for the integrity of the game for other people. That is why Melee will always be a fucking terrible game. In BoTW, there is literally zero harm if you figure out new methods or exploits, and it adds to the experience.

If you do that exploit during the great plateau sequence, the game will kill you when you touch any part of the Hyrule mainland unless you go really, REALLY fucking far out and avoid the death barrier in place. Needless to say, they wouldn't have put such a thing there if they intended for flying logs to get you off the plateau in place of the glider.

Yeah the constant shilling is annoying, and their defending of the game is pretty piss-poor, it's still just a gacha with some better than normal gameplay for said genre.
Me and some user got into it in another thread because I was being (a little too much of one) a troll and just bashing the game in. But instead of giving me reasons for why the game is good, I got personally attacked instead. I've played the game, it's mediocre at best, it's got some interesting things but not enough for me to stay.
All I kept thinking was "I'd rather play BotW" This game is the epitome of copy other games winning formulas and make money, but if people want to play it w/e, you can eat shit but it's not exactly healthy.

Because falling from a great height and dying is a pretty obvious consequence? If you do the log trick to escape the plateau early, the developers will kill you. If you do it at any other time, it doesn't. So yes, there was a very clear and deliberate way they wanted you to do that sequence and they obviously didn't account for you being able to go tree surfing. So yes, it's an exploit.

If something that they didn't want you to do badly enough that they literally kill you for doing so isn't even a glitch to you, then how is dashing into the ground a downright glitch in melee?
