Do you think that the dark souls community sometimes overstates the difficulty of their games?

Yes

Wasn't the whole "hardest game you'll ever play" thing some marketing tactic?

zelda 2 is no joke

why comics are still a thing? can't these fagglets just animate the story they are trying to tell?

not really considering the ammount of people in this board who still hates the series because they went straight to the catacombs in their first run

Do you have difficulty reading?

The bigger issue I have with this comic is that it thinks the Zelda series is some lighthearted adventure.

Not at first, it's just that most of the first time players were mainly people that played stuff like dmc and Ninja Gaiden and thus got filtered hard when they tried to button mash their way through it.

Yes, it's maybe hard for a current game which are mostly designed to be completed by everyone.
Players now expect to see and complete the full game and get their money worth out of it and don't want to deal with anything frustrating and games that have a steep learning curve don't sell good.

They oversell DS games in general because all of them suck.

You couldn't really mash Ninja Gaiden. You had to at least have some of the BnB combos down (not that hard) and know when to use them.

That joke doesn't really work anyway, Link has fought plenty of skeletons in his own games.

Dark Souls stuck with people because they got out of the asylum, wandered into the cemetary, and got their shit kicked in repeatedly with no indication other than the asswhipping that they had gone the wrong direction, then they had to get off their friends xbox or whatever

That and the whole Link being a master swordsman thing.

It was extremely difficult at the time. It has since become mainstream and aped to death so the same feeeling isn't there anymore..

Is it not?

Its all pathetic nu-males who can't compete in any online scene so they boast about killing literal NPCs.

I have only played a few of them but no it is definitely not from what I have played
OOT everything goes to fucking shit post timeskip, twilight princess gets pretty dark, botw is post apoc

Fuck off
Make your own mind about shit you play.

No, if anything they understate it with most soulslike games. People don't know how bad casual gamers are at these.

>comics
>reading
user, comics are already for people with reading difficulties.

I didn't spend 1000 hours mastering ninja gaiden and DMC for some chucklefuck 17 year olds to think they're hardcore because they know how to time a fucking roll.

But soulsgames bore me so I don't really care

It's a stupid comic because the Souls combat system is heavily influenced by the 3D Zelda games and Link would definitely be able to beat it.

Let's get HIM!

I don't know I have never seen any official communication from the dark souls community

It's people who don't play the game and only watched a youtuber or two playing it that overstates the difficulty; along with people who don't try to learn the mechanics and tries to brutforce the game which is possible desu but you won't know all the tips and tricks on a first run

>But soulsgames bore me so I don't really care
Probably because most of the games are slow. A lot of difficult games generally reward mastery with speed.

It's sad that OoT combat plays better than DS yet this stupid comic is claiming otherwise.

Never played any souls game. Has DS3 a big world to explore or is it just tube levels with scripted events?

The 64 games are pretty dark by Nintendo standards

Would link be a quality build?

Hell fucking no.
