My headcanon for this
>foundation finds a weird monster
>it does nothing
>zero threat to anything it just sits there and appears dead barely even breathing but reading vitals shows it is alive
>apparently does not need to eat or even breath to stay alive
>has no remarkable traits other than being practically invincible
>containment procedure is thus extremely lax, basically in a random cell meant for a normal person with a couple guards on rotation
>lax containment means people start fucking with it
>people start moving it out of containment into random places
>it becomes a running prank to drop the "alligator" in inconvenient places in the facility
>a group of researchers spend hours managing to wedge the thing diagonally into a doorway of a high ranking official
>they need to demolish several walls to get it out
>the official is pissed and fed up with the shenanigans
>forces one of the researchers to invent a reason to keep the SCP under the strictest containment possible
