It'll be the exact same mediocre game but it will look slightly worse and you may have to turn a few settings down. People will play it on a 5-year-old console that was outdated on release and not be bothered in the slightest.

Considering that the minimum GPU on Cyberpunk is GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 470, then a 1070 should be able to pull off a stable 40-60 @ 1080p, as long as your CPU isn't bottlenecking.

You have it the wrong way around, it's not "losing" 60 fps. DLSS2.0 is the one with higher fps, while looking the same.

The difference is huge especially for games that use it for shadows and GI too. Prices for the new cards won't drop for ages unless AMD pulls out a GPU that can compete (which it wont).

DLSS is an AI upscaling tech, you are supposed to see no difference besides higher FPS

I guess I’ll ride this gen out with the 1070 then. When they upgrade it for a next gen version I’ll either get a PS5 or update my card at that point, depends on how the exclusives look. The launch lineup for next gen looks like dogshit atm and cross gen games are the fucking worst

I’m considering a 3070 but there’s no way I’ll get one in time before they sell out. I kinda want to go all out on this game it’s gonna easily last me an entire year playing 3-4 hours a day and then I’ll revisit it with mods and stuff for 5 years no problem

nope, couldn't get one. i was almost managed to blag a fe but before i could check out some nice red text informed me they were gone. not going to bother now until they are freely available, which is looking like next year. perhaps amd will put out something decent and take my money instead but magic infinity cache sounds a bit iffy. we'll see.

Wait until mid 2021. By then, AMD will have launched a card series which will put a little bit of price pressure on nVidia cards, but nVidia will also have announced or launched all of it's 30XX Ti/Super cards, which will drive down the price of the original versions.

I doubt AMD GPUs going anywhere. People on a budget will still opt for them due to their lower prices. There are probably also a lot of people who still think you need to pair an AMD CPU with an AMD GPU, and with how popular Ryzen is right now that's a fair amount of people.
