there is this one game thats 300 days real time long where you have to wait for a king/deity to wake up. you can explore and make your home more comfy to speed up the time. Time will also go if you close the game. So you could start the game, listen to intro, close it & wait 300 days to complete it if you absolutly wanted to. There is more to it though.

Malt makes the taste, not yeast.
I think the japskies make beer-like carbonated drinks that aren't made with malt though.

Wine is a more interestingly flavoured beverage than beer though.
The soil and the barrel can affect the end product enormously, not to mention the fruit.
Also, oporto wine is fantastic.
